Just finished a one night staycation at the Woodmark Hotel. What a delight. Beautiful location on Lake Washington. We were greeted with glasses of bubbly, and they even accommodated slightly early check-in. Serene, luxurious lobby with lake views. Our room also had a lake view (no balcony, too cold in Nov). Incredibly comfortable beds, and so peaceful. They had firepits down below, and a nice boat dock area to stroll around. We ate at Le Grand Bistro in the complex, which was excellent. Also enjoyed the Starbucks and Carillon Kitchen (host at the Como Italian, however, was quite rude when we walked in carrying our coffees, snapped "no outside food"). Got a spectacular sunset. Free snacks pantry at night wearing hotel bathrobes was fun! In warmer weather there are free bikes and kayaks. There is a mini fridge, but no free breakfast. The Carillon bells do ring every half and hour, but not overnight. :-) You also pay $23 for parking and a $25 resort fee, but that's the price for luxury, I suppose.

View from room was awesome. Staff was polite and fast to respond to requests. The entire family had a relaxing time. We used room service a few times it was pricey but was hot and delicious. This was a staycation and would come here again.

We stayed for a wedding which was also at the hotel so it was very convenient to stay here but then moved to another hotel after the wedding for the remainder of our visit. As a family with a young child, not the most family friendly - $18 for an omelet, $28 to park, all the other stuff really adds up which is included in other properties. Staff was friendly and water at the end of the hall was a nice perk. Our room had a great view but bells go off every 30/60 minutes making naptime challenging! We did love the shower however !

Woodmark looks luxurious on the outside. Lovely waterfront. I typically stay at The Heathman, The Hyatt Regency or Courtyard Marriott Kirkland.

I rent rooms on a monthly basis do extras are nice but not necessities. The Heathman beat and excels no matter which room I had. Hyatt Regency Bellevue the stay is always wonderful from the onset.
Courtyard Marriott Kirkland, not luxurious but superb front desk hospitality, consistently.

I asked if I could have a late check out the front desk said certainly, how is 12:00 noon.
Now, this was my first time here at Woodmark because I had been told the other hotels I frequented were more comfortable inside the rooms, I found that hard to believe because Woodmark looks so spectacular on the outside.

I have never been told a late check out was a onetime courtesy. If the room at the other hotels were available for a late check out, the other hotels always made my request appear normal and comfortable to ask. It wasn’t until my request here, at Woodmark for a late check out, that I ever felt as if my request for late check out were frowned upon.
While I always appreciated the possibility of late checkout if requested, I always knew that if the room was not available, the answer was an honest no.

On occasions, the front desk would have to reply with a no, but even then, the hotel made my request comfortable and feel normal. Perhaps because I frequent these other hotels(?) I think not. Due to my work schedule, I typically ask if a late checkout is possible. I will never request a late check out at the Woodmark, but then I probably will look at other venues for any upcoming events or stays.
The front desk reply gave me a negative first impression, I took it into the rooms. While I liked the bathroom I could not believe how the room felt more like a low end hotel. I room coffee poor, the living space was as small as one would get at a motel and the living amenities were very basic.

The Courtyard Marriott Kirkland does not have a luxurious suit, but every room has a couch and a coffee table. Every room has a considerable amount of living space, in comparison to Woodmark.

Woodmark had zero luxury in the suit I stayed in. Basic, clean, updated colors and nice linens, but for the price those things I just mentioned should be expected and not considered a benchmark.

I completely forgot that a motel felt different due to the small space, its basic bed and TV without living space and zero amenities. I had that impression on the inside of my room here at Woodmark. And yo top it off the coffee set up also, very motel like. I was very disappointed at the under value in the room at the Woodmark.

However, perhaps Woodmarks other suits are charming; the Kirkland water front is beautiful...but I do recommend spending the money on a suit at Woodmark if you plan on spending any special time with a significant other or personal “me” time in your room at Woodmark.

Regina, Thank you for your recent feedback. I am saddened to see your first experience with us was a let down. I will be reviewing your feedback with our Front Office team because regardless of availability, it is never our goal to make our guests feel uncomfortable asking for requests that will make their time with us more enjoyable. As you mentioned our suites definitely do have more space and are recommended for anyone looking to spend the majority of their time in the room. Additionally, we provide Fonte Coffee which is a highly credited local coffee roaster. If you are open to giving us another shot, I am confident we can provide a more enjoyable stay and we are happy to provide an alternative coffee arrangement for your room. Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope for the opportunity to welcome you back on any future travels to the area. Best Regards, Jennifer, Assistant General Manager

Wife and I had a wonderful time recharging for the first time since our 7 month old was born. The room was wonderful, stayed in a suite with a balcony facing the lake. It had a large soaking tub/waterfall shower combo! Luxury soap products, and a 7x filtered water station just outside our room with refillable bottles. The bed was super comfortable, and we fell asleep within minutes. We ordered breakfast from Carillon Kitchen and the food was great but there was a little delay in getting our food. The time we were given to pick up the food was not correct and we ended up having to wait for about 20 minutes to get our order from the time we were told to pick it up. Had it not been for that I would have given the hotel 5/5 rating. One thing to note, the restaurant that typical serves dinner is closed temporarily due to COVID, so be prepared to order take out.

I understand that there are restrictions because of Covid, but this property is literally shutdown minus you having access to your room. There is no room service or food and bev of any type on property. No fitness room or affiliation. No in room waters even unless you go to the 3rd floor to fill glass bottles. No service of any kind, you have to call if you want your room cleaned. Basically you could stay at a budget hotel and get what you have here at this time. Very dissapointing!

4packfamily, Thank you for your recent feedback. I apologize for the restrictions and changes in protocol we have in place. Please know these modifications are only in place to ensure safety for our guests and team members during this challenging time. Although we have limited our food &beverage offerings, we have in-room dining available through our cafe, Carillon Kitchen. Also, we are working hard to keep our outdoor activities, bikes & kayaks, available. We have created alternatives for indoor interactions such as the guestroom cleaning in attempts of providing high level yet safe service. We hope you understand this is not our ideal scenario and we look forward to showing you a true Woodmark experience once it is safe to do so! Best Regards, Jennifer, Assistant General Manager

What a beautiful hotel! My husband and I were taking a short vacation in Washington State and decided to spend two nights in Kirkland at the Woodmark. It is a classic hotel in front of Washington Lake, rooms are very comfortable, the views of the lake and the marina are incredible and there are several options to eat and have afternoon drinks at the plaza, which is where the hotel’s main entrance is located. Their location is perfect, you can walk into town if you like, or use one of their bikes, which are complementary. They also provide complementary kayaks to enjoy the lake. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Kirkland, loved this hotel and its location.

Really a great place, great service but one small complaint and one disappointment. I've stayed here at least 6 times and this was my first food complaint, there's a new menu ( a bit pricey) we both ordered fish and chips and both were disappointed. Instead of nice filets in light beer batter you get three square pieces of fish in with a crisp seasoned crust, it looked and tasted like something frozen from a box. The chips were shoestring fries and it was served with a thimble of Cole slaw that wasn't. This was shredded cabbage with No flavor, no dressing.
Disappointed in the " raid the pantry" I've never tried it before, so was looking forward to it, envisioned maybe some fresh cookies, milk, maybe some cake instead I found small cans of soda, snack bags of chips etc.. Doee not live up to the hotel image I had in my mind. I'll still stay here but will eat elsewhere and won't bother with the pantry

Bill, Reaching out to thank you for taking the time to provide great feedback regarding your recent stay and dining experience with us at Beach Cafe. I apologize you didn't enjoy the fish and chips, I will be passing the feedback along to our culinary team to review. Although, I can put you at ease that they are not frozen and get prepared by our team on property daily with fresh & local product. Our new menu has been getting lot's of great feedback so I am confident we can find a different option that will better suite you on future stays. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Cheers, Jennifer, Assistant General Manager

we ever stayed in. Facilities and location were top notch and the staff was super friendly. We even brought our dog and they had a bed, food/water bowls and doggie care package included. The rooms are so roomy and well designed. Of course it is a bit pricey but we’ve gone to pricier ones that don’t match the quality. Would go back.

We needed a close by change of scenery combined with mom/daughter get away and this was perfect. They are handling COVID protocols well the staff is so nice and a beautiful room followed by a spa day at Still. My daughter has some disabilities and everyone was so kind especially the ladies at Still Spa. She loved the Raid the Pantry amenities and soda pop availability. Lovely lake view room and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Como next door. There are many dining and activity choices right at Carillon and downtown Kirkland is lovely for wandering and shops. Currently most allow limited customers at one time and adhering to protocols which I appreciated. We also stumbled upon the Wednesday farmers market in town. The only reason I didn’t do 5 stars was we had some difficulty with hot water and showers and I wish the double queen room had separate reading lights instead of one big one. I wanted to read and my girl wanted to sleep and have the light out. I also have an issue with resort fees in general but it’s hard to get away from them. Next time we will plan for more time so we can use the bikes offered. Nit picking I know. A great place for a get away even if for one night. We will probably do it again
