I enjoyed my three-day stay here. The hotel is definitely older and a bit shabby in spots, but I love the character of the place. My room was very comfortable and quiet, and the staff friendly. I would absolutely start here again.

The former Carlton Inn Kirkland is now called the Totum Lake Hotel. Usually if I can't say anything nice I simply won't, but in this case, folks have to know this is not a place you want to go. I had called ahead to see if there was a swimming pool. I was told yes, but it was not "functional"....

The phrase "deferred/ no Maintence" comes to mind when describing this place. From the moment we walked up (rotting wood planter boxes) to the dusty old fake plants that adorn the hallway to the gorgeous slime filled pool outside our window, clearly closed. This place isn't worth your time. Basic room that hasn't been updated for twenty years, the old...

After a less than stellar stay and review of the same location 3 years ago, things are better at the newly renamed Totem Lake Hotel. The hotel is still conveniently located close to the I-405 freeway but also near a little urban lake. We were glad to find out that the hotel now offers a complimentary breakfast, including fruit, make...

As a previous reviewer stated, this Hotel has a layout that seems to have been designed for greater things. The Rooms are small, but the Entrance, Lobby, downstairs bar area (not operational) and restaurant area seem to be completely misplaced in this hotel. It has a weird half Chinese theme through out these areas, that doesn't seem to match the...

To summarize it up: Don't stay here. Don't waste your money. You're better off sleeping in your car. My husband and I stayed at the Carlton Inn when we came to go to a Seahawks game last season. The lobby looks tired, dated, and smells musty and old. The rooms were the worst I've been in. Unfortunately, after we had...

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in. First, I couldn't find it. It was hidden at the end of a dead end street. Second the person checking me in was in deferent and sat in his chair during the check in process. Third, the room was old, the tile on the bathroom floor and shower were dirty. The...

I travel a fair amount and often wonder about the story behind a business. In this case, it the property was conveniently located, safe, reasonably clean and reasonably well maintained. The room was comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was a solid 3. The strange thing is that t he property seems to have been designed...

This property is now called the Totem Lake Hotel, and overlooks the very small Totem Lake in Kirkland, WA. More like a big pond! Rooms are updated and very nice and clean. Lobby is a different story. A bit tired, strange morning breakfast in a tiny alcove in a hallway. No operational vending machines, and pool was closed for repairs...

I enjoyed my 2 night stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was huge, flat screen tv, and mini fridge,,,and my stay was quiet with an office attendant at all times..Chinese restaurant on site an sports bar saloon next door..close to Totem lake mall..a minute off the highway..a couple of turns..they are doing a great job! Try them and see!...
