We got married in Skokomish Park over Labor Day weekend. The location was absolutely beautiful. The park staff met with us before the wedding to answer questions and worked with us during the weekend. The staff made sure the site was clean and even accommodated some additional requests. They checked in with us throughout the weekend to make sure everything was going well. The group campsite easily fit all of our guests who wanted to camp and everyone had an incredible time. We hope to visit Skokomish regularly because it certainly holds a special place in our hearts.
We camped here for 3 days and 2 nights and had a wonderful time. We reserved 2 camp sites for our group of 10. This is my families favorite lake but we have never camped here before. The sites had plenty of space for us and the bathroom/shower was near by. Showers take quarters so make sure you bring some if you plan on showering. The campgrounds were clean and clear of garbage. Even though we had brought our own kayaks it was nice to know that you could rent them if needed. You could also rent floaties, bikes and stand up paddleboards. We will definitely be planning another camping trip here.
This is a beautiful State Park on Lake Cushman, the staff is friendly but a little disorganized, the sites are right next to each other but bump up to a nice wooded area complete with fire rings. While we were there it rained non-stop, so we didn't get to enjoy the wooded space, so it ended up being a bit like camping in a parking lot.
Skokomish Park (south camp) at Lake Cushman is a beautiful campground with trails for hiking and a well maintained bathroom that includes showers. The sites do not include electricity or water hookups but those amenities can be found if you choose to stay in the North Camp of the park which I did a few years ago. South Camp is much more spacious with plenty of room between campsites. North Camp had a very cramped feel. My one complaint was the noise level of this campground. I'm over 50 and have been camping my entire life and I've never been in a campground that was so noisy!! Part of the problem was another group that was playing their music, which I didn't mind, but they played it at what must have been full volume!! And it went on past 11:30 PM even though the rules state that quiet time begins at 10 PM. The rules also stated that quiet time was strictly enforced yet I never saw one single campground employee during the time the music was blaring. I was going to complain to management the next day but I believe someone else beat me to it and the next night the neighbors were much quieter. But even with that being said, for some reason I can't understand, voices and noises carry quite far in this campground and even campers who were using regular voices could be heard at a distance.…
