Fabulous Inn! Can’t say enough about it. We had one of the Waterfront Rooms. A gorgeous view from a lovely room with french doors that open to your own patio steps from the harbor. Also, a private big deck over the water, with comfortable seating for all Inn guests.
Great amenities like the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in; Keurig coffee maker; mini fridge; corner fireplace; nice bathroom. Even the artwork on the walls is an added touch. There is a convenient common room with a microwave, another coffee maker, glassware and snacks (yes, including microwave popcorn). Patsy, the Innkeeper (?) is terrific. Very accommodating and excellent at communication. My only complaint is that this Inn is listed as #2 in Gig Harbor, instead of #1! 😉

Upon arrival to the Waterfront Inn in Gig Harbor, my wife and I were favorable impressed by the cleanliness, the thoughtful design and amenities and the beautiful view of the harbor from our window. Our suite, the Rainier Room, was very comfortable, especially with the gas fireplace, which took the edge off the dreary April weather. The newly remodeled suite showcased one of the most beautiful travertine bathrooms we’ve visited. I loved the spacious glass doored shower! The dimmable lighting throughout the suite provided the opportunity to personally set the ambiance. Our stay was much too short to fully enjoy the accommodation. I will want to return to the Waterfront Inn the next time we visit Gig Harbor.

Gig Harbour was the perfect stop on our way to the West Coast of Washington State, and the Waterfront Inn was the perfect place to stay. The room was spacious and comfortable with coffee and hot drinks available in room and snacks in the common room of our little complex.

The check-in process was dependent on us having texting available as there is no-one at the facility. This proved to be tricky without an international sim. However, with the help of a restaurant Wifi we received the information required to check-in. It is now abundantly clear why texts are required and we thank Patsy and Mike for their patience.

Gig Harbour itself is a delight with a lovely waterfront of parks and plaques detailing its interesting history. Restaurants and Pubs were within walking distance and breakfast at Devoted Kiss was delicious.

Location great but they really need a major makeover! Change a shower curtain every 10 years, lamp shades torn, carpet needs to be thrown away, a paint job would help a lot, toiletries are poor, how much for a decent towel? It’ a 4* location but barely a 2* hotel. Simple low cost replacements would go a very long way. Don’t stay here until they fix it up and hopefully they will soon? Staff is excellent but the owner needs to spend $$

Response from Kevin MacDonald, Owner at Waterfront Inn
Responded Mar 28, 2023
We did not own the Inn at this time, but we completely agree with you. Everything you noted has been addressed with a complete remodel. We hope guests find that the Waterfront Inn is now a lovely, high end, boutique hotel accommodation, befitting of its amazing location. We certainly feel that way, and we hope our guests do as well!

My husband and I needed just one night in Gig Harbor, and we fortunately found this beautiful Inn right on the harbor! The room itself is rather small, but we fit 4 people in around the fireplace with the big glass doors open to the patio and beautiful view. The room is quite nicely appointed, with a very comfy king bed and a big ceiling fan if you need it. We used the very efficient air conditioner, worked extremely well to keep the room at a nice temp; however, if you do use it, I would recommend ear plugs....it is loud! The bathroom is quite nice with a big shower and tons of shelves and closet. It's also very quiet on the harbor, just the sounds of geese, which I quite liked. Also, a big plus is the huge private pier out front loaded with chairs and tables. The managers are very responsive via phone or text. I highly recommend this Inn and will definitely return for a longer stay! (PS: Recommend highly Morso's Restaurant, right across the street)

We could not have asked for a better stay than at the Waterfront Inn. The owners and manager are very kind and personable. The view is exceptional--we spent many evenings playing games out on the deck, and enjoyed breakfast out there a few mornings as well. Walking distance to many great dining experiences, with tons of recommendations in the room was a great touch! Can't wait to come back for a visit again!

We spent a long weekend for a family wedding at the newly renovated Waterfront Inn. What a great experience! The Inn Keepers, Patsy & Mike, respond quickly if you need anything at all. Of course the view is exceptional and if you can snag one of the three waterfront rooms on the lower level with the private patio you're in for a treat. The bedding and mattress are top notch as well as the spacious bathroom updates. All things Gig Harbor are close by and we loved walking to the Devoted Kiss for breakfast (you get a small discount if you tell them you're guests at the Inn) All in all a wonderful way to spend a day or three in a historic home on the water.

The Waterfront Inn is a little piece of paradise. We booked for one night as we were passing through Seattle. I wish we could have stayed longer. Within 10 minutes of booking we got a call from Patsy who walked up through the check in process. The independent check in was smooth and directions that were sent explained everything. The room was absolutely spotless with an amazing bed. We were in the waterfront room. The view, private dock, and private deck with ample amount of patio furniture was the best part. Nothing could beat the view. The rooms layout was fantastic and the shared common area with an ice machine and snacks was a great added touch. The only obstacle we ran into was parking. Upon arriving the parking that would fit our truck was already taken and we had to park further down the street in a public parking lot. 100% would stay here again and recommend!

My wife and I had our boat in the harbor for Labor Day weekend and we put some friends of ours up in the Rainier room at the Waterfront Inn. The experience was fantastic. The room is beautiful and really comfortable. We understand the Inn has been remodeled and it really shows. The room has a wonderful view of Gig Harbor. The entire Inn is immaculate, including the surrounding grounds. We spent a lot of time out on the deck which overlooks the harbor. The dock was great for us and made it easy to get back and forth from our boat. Our friends had a great time.

What really put the Inn over the stop is the excellent staff. The manager, Patsy, make sure I knew in advance how to access the room. She kept me up-to-date right up to check-in time. She was so helpful in answering questions before I arrived. We never saw staff when we were there but it wasn't necessary. I had all the information I needed before I arrived and I knew Patsy was only a phone call away if anything came up. It really made the experience outstanding. I've stayed in another Inn in Gig Harbor and had a good experience but this was over the top. The Waterfront Inn will definitely be my choice when we return

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Waterfront Inn. We splurged a little for a waterfront room with private patio and we’re so imported! The room was beautiful and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. The view of the harbor was fantastic and we enjoyed watching a seal swim around in the morning. It was convenient to walk to good restaurants from the inn and the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again if we have the chance to return to the Olympic peninsula.
