My boyfriend and I stayed here 6 years ago for our first Valentine day together. Just by luck, Valentine day fell on a weekend this year so I called and they were able to book us the same room! It was just as we remembered it, with a few upgrades of course! I always love staying here! The staff is so friendly, the room was incredibly clean and quiet! Will absolutely return again!
Spent two nights here after initially thinking of one night and then looking for another town nearby. Room was the cheapest available so therefore the smallest but was a still a good size. Bed was great, aircon and the fake fire great too. The continental breakfast that come with the room was the best I’ve seen. Staff couldn’t have been better, very friendly and informative.
Opted to stay at Maritime Inn instead of Airbnb or B&B this time around. The Inn is located across the street from Skansie Park (public dock) and the water, and shares a driveway with a cafe/paint-a-dish place. Location is awesome. The Inn is a charming split level B&B-style place that sits on a hill. It is set up more for the leisure traveler than the business traveler (which makes sense). I got the feeling that it is a labor of love for the owners...beautifully framed black & white photos of the area's historical landmarks are hung in the lobby and corridors, Mikasa glasses and cups are provided in the rooms and in the continental breakfast area, and my room came with nice wood furniture that looks like it could actually be used in someone's house. The room I stayed in was about 10x10 with a queen bed, wicker chair, fireplace, TV, open closet space, and compact refrigerator. The fireplace will heat up your room so no need to worry about keeping the heat too high. I liked the fact that the windows actually open so you can inhale fresh air. I will caution that if you are a light sleeper, you should bring earplugs as the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors' TV, coughing, etc if they are "loud" people. They do not use keycards but actual keys so be sure to keep track of them! There is a cold continental breakfast and coffee in the am but no dining room. There are cafes and restaurants (including the one across the driveway) nearby so I didn't feel that lack of a dining room is a problem. They keep wine handy too in the evenings! The room does not have a desk but you can get on your laptop next door, which is what I did. (the Inn has great wireless though). The Inn's front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and will chat with guests about the area, what to see, what to do, etc. They take the time to get to know you and that is part of the Inn's charm. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return.…
The Maritime Inn is situated right on the harbor close to shops, activities, bars, and restaurants. It is a very intimate, child-friendly, and comfortable hotel. The room was clean and cosy. (It had a fireplace!) The front desk clerk and staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. There were free perks like a glass of champagne on the weekend. A continental breakfast was included which could be consumed "al fresco." I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Appreciated proximity to restaurants and water view. Our “Genius” room was compact though good enough for us. Room REALLY needs some minor repair and updating, but bed was very comfortable. Bathroom lacks space for toiletries, but use fireplace mantel and cupboards in bedroom Staff was A+ at our arrival and departure. Both women were hospitable, caring, respectful. Breakfast offerings were packaged hard boiled eggs, pastries, bagels, cheeses, including cottage cheese, yogurt, juice, fresh fruit, gf protein bars. Overall, surprisingly decent. Bring food to dine in your room or outside. Our view was to the harbor. Nice! Noise lessens in the evening though upticks early morning.
