Darla made us feel like family. Comfortable among her beautiful, artful home. Best bed away from home. You will feel at home on Whidbey. Easy to find though off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood.

The La Bella Room wrapped me with a gentle security, still alive with life and beauty even when I needed, no required a complete rest and shut-down. The books in shelves all about me. The light pours through magically through this full length of room window from above on gleaming sunny warmth painted walls. Then I walk onto the deck and...

I've been remiss in failing to review "A Tuscan Lady" since our stay there several moths ago. My wife, nine year old daughter, nine year old "goldendoodle" (golden retriever/poodle) and I stayed in the "Casa" for five nights in June 2013 and had a wonderful time. The Casa is a separate building on the property that includes a single very...

This venue is in reality a B ---- not a B and B, as advertised. There was no reduction in price for the breakfast that is no longer offered. In addition, we were charged tax, although given neither an official bill or receipt showing a tax number. And, the business no longer takes Visa or MC, so we were all...

My daughter treated us all to a weekend at The Tuscan Lady in Freeland both because she had heard of it and because it is near a great beach where dogs run free. Wife, daughter, three dogs and I all went and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, very well furnished, extremely comfortable beds. We had a giant...

I really wited too long to review this place as my memory isnt what it should be. But I would hate to NOT give her my best! To begin with the grounds really are perfect for a family as we let the kids run around the garden in the afternoons and after a constant on th go trip to Seattle,...

Our family of four stayed in the Villa at a Tuscan Lady for two nights and hated to leave. The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden and small ponds. Amazing touches are added indoors and out. You cannot go wrong with this Inn. Darla, the owner, lives on site so she is around to help with questions or needs...

A labor of love, Darla has made her get away an amazing adventure. There's something beautiful to look at at every turn! The beds are super comfortable and there's a fresh nature smell in the air. It's lovely there.

We found A Tuscan Lady on a local PBS travel auction by bidding on and winning a 2 night stay. It's located on Whidbey Island, a bit north of Seattle and we went up for a long weekend. The place is very comfortable and homey and decorated with an artists touch and we felt at ease as soon as we...

“As noted above, the Casa is a standalone cottage. Although it is a two story structure only the first floor is available to guests. The main building is a multi-bedroom (3 bedrooms as I recall) single level structure with the look and feel of a suburban home (though more inviting than that description suggests.) Each building has easy access to the beautiful garden. Neither provides expansive views.”
