Very cute attached cabin in an area that doesn’t have much else as far as quality lodging. We stayed in the two bedroom unit #1, it was very clean and roomy with everything you would need. Plenty to cook with, a little gas fireplace was warm and inviting. Heated floors in the nice bathroom was a bonus. Beautiful landscaping made it seem like an eco-resort.
It's strange how you can go to a town like Forks, a small town on Washington's west coast, who's only claim to fame being that was the site where "Twilight" was filmed...and find a resort that could easily compete with any other resort in places like Hawaii, Miami, or Monterey. That is how good Quillayute River Resort is. We had one of the suites for two nights. The moment we entered, we could see that the owners had done their homework in making this a high quality resort. Nothing had been left to chance. The kitchen had more amenities than my own. Top name pots and pans, hanging from a rack. A knife block with SHARP knives, an Oster blender, a large microwave and equally large full oven, real plates and lots of deep mugs over the top name coffee maker. Coffee was provided, no less. As were a carafe of olive oil and fresh spices that you always forget if you plan to cook while on vacation. There was even two trays of ice cubes in the freezer. The bed was a good one, with high quality sheets. The bathroom was loaded with big thirsty towels and the shower had HOT water. Two sources of heat (necessary in our wet climate) were a propane fireplace and baseboard heating. A large closet provided plenty of room for everything you brought with you. And clean? It was spotless, top to bottom, end to end. Not so much as a dust bunny underneath the bed. Even the drawers in the nightstands were spotlessly clean. At night, the only noise was from the rivers. Ah, yes, the rivers. The Sol Duc and Quillayute conjoin right in front of the lodge. If you sat outside in the Adirondack chairs you had a front row seat of the river. Ospreys called overhead. A ruby crowned kinglet scolded from the shrubs. A common merganser and a pair of kingfishers searched the river for dinner. And best of all, a family of four otters played in the rapids. Oh, heck yes, I HIGHLY recommend this resort. I'll go back, someday.…
This was certainly a highlight of our trip. We stayed 2 night in unit 5. This place was not only clean, cozy, convenient, thoughtful, with perfect location, etc etc, it was also so beautifully and artistically designed and maintained. we all thought it was an attraction itself and none of us would want to leave by the time we had to check out. We are seriously thinking of coming back to it staying for a week just to enjoy the place itself. highly recommend! yes it may be a bit more pricy than some other options in the area, but trust me, it is more than worth it. If you read through my other hotel reviews, you would know I am not the most generous score giver, and it is rare I would give a full 5 star -- I would give 100 to this one if I could (not that I am so difficult to please, but that I believe we all have things to improve upon as a person or as a business). but we just can't find any points of recommendations to give to this place to make it even better.…
Amazing accommodations, beautiful property, lovely hosts and staff! Our family stayed for 2 nights at this property. The spacious cabins had everything you could possibly need during your stay. They were comfortable and extremely clean. My daughter borrowed a Twilight book to read while staying. The kids enjoyed the swing and playing at the river edge. Great location to visit Rialto Beach. Highly recommend this resort!
I recommend this lodge to everyone. There were such great views from the property. It felt like a serene retreat. It's also really convenient to all the Olympic sights -- Rialto Beach is only 10 mins away, Hoh is 45 mins away, Kalaloch, 45 mins. The rooms were so cozy. There was a kitchen in each of the rooms with all the utensils and some spices. Each room also comes with a charcoal grill with briquettes. The property also has a laundry room that we used to clean all our clothes. The lawn in front of the 6 rooms is where we hung out almost all the time -- having wine, eating food, grilling, and using the firepit there at night to make a campfire. Our family of 4 loved staying there, especially when we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. In all, it was an excellent stay.…
There are six suites in a row with space between them so can hear no noice from the other units. The suites are immaculate with gorgeous views of the river from the kitchen/living room. There is a great space to sit outside and barbecue or read and watch the river. If you are a fisherman you are in heaven. It is close to everything in the park. It beat all expectations
We stayed for 8 nights in mid-September. We actually occupied 3 different suites during our stay because they didn't have availability for one suite for each night we were there. Each suite we stayed in was clean, very well furnished, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. This Inn/Resort is really an absolute gem. Beautiful landscaping, the property is so well maintained, the views are incredible, and its location to some of the beautiful beaches along the west coast of Olympic National Park make this just a perfect spot for so many reasons. Really -- do not hesitate to book this property. Staff and owners are kind, professional, helpful, and friendly. A winner!
Our family of six loved our stay at Quillayute RR. We booked two of their suites which were so clean and comfortable! The view of the river and the flowers on the property were beautiful. The beds and pull out sofa were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed to cook our meals. We used the charcoal BBQs to grill chicken and veggies one night. The bathrooms were nice and had great products. Everything was maintained at a high standard. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this property.
We are a family of 2 adults, 2 teenagers. We loved this resort!!! It was beautiful with some fun trails and beautiful views of the river. The 'cabin' was so clean and had everything we needing in the kitchen. The two bedrooms in Suite 1 were large, comfortable and gave us all the space we needed. We also loved the location and being able to get to the beaches in less than 10 minutes. Our boys enjoyed finding a trail down to the river and skipping rocks while eagles soared overhead. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and I wish we would have been able to stay longer. It was easily our favorite place to stay in Olympic National Park.
We’ve stayed there 4 times so far and every visit is better and better. This time was unit 3 but really all are equally comfortable. You sit in the Adirondacks around dinner with a glass of wine and watch bald eagles catch their meal. In the rooms the windows are always clean and every part of the unit is in good working order. We use the grills in the evening and they are always cleaned before you arrive. Our first visit was when they just started the lodge and it was great. Today it’s better.
