We stayed here and the rooms were not clean. I was itching after we left a couple days later and found out from the doctor I contacted Scabies. My fiancée dropped his phone behind the bed and we pulled the mattress up to get it. There was dust and food wrappers by headboard. We were really looking forward to our stay but it turned into a nightmare. I had bites all over my feet. We will never go back to this hotel.

I had been going to Silver Reef steadily for years before Covid 19 and it was our favorite place to gamble a couple of times per week. No more, I will never go back after their rude, abusive & threatening actions to me in the casino. After a year of not being able to cross the border, we went across to Silver Reef to go gambling. On every visit we have ever made there we have left 1000s of dollars. We went to the casino and visited the rewards desk and asked to speak to a manager. I explained to the manager that myself and my wife were fully vaccinated along with booster shots, but I have both federal & local exceptions, signed by a Doctor, for not wearing mask for medical reasons. I can’t breathe with them on. The manager said she understood & that was acceptable. I said we would be down on the weekend and she assured me it was OK. When we arrived on Saturday I was accosted by security and their boss & told to get out of the casino. I told them I had an exception and it was Ok’ed by a manger. He called me a damn liar & said he would throw me out if I didn't leave. I'm 74 and I augured that the manager told me different. We got into verbal argument & shouting match. In the past we have dropped $1000s at the casino and were treated as excellent customers. This Casino has gone to the dogs. I would advise no one to go to Silver Reef Casino, stay there or play there. Seniors be very carefully, this 30s something year old security bully was going to beat me up if I didn't leave and as he said he was in charge and I had no rights at all. He was not recognizing and exceptions for anything, no matter who issued them.

It's never a good sign when you check in @ 4:00 that they tell you housekeeping will not be available. We went down to have dinner at 8:45 and were told that they were no longer seating for dinner...take out only. Earlier we wanted to make reservations for dinner and that was not allowed. The pat answer for any shortcomings they blamed on Covid. In reality it was short staffing. The slot machines were very tight with few bonuses. An overall disappointing experience.

2nd time we stayed at the Silver Reef Casino. This time we reserved the Deluxe King North Tower Patio. I regret spending the extra money. The "private Patio" is ground floor only and looked out at the back utility parking. NO view whatsoever. Room had extra space which is nice, but pretty plain. No refrigerator either. Only one chair to relax in. And room was COLD! Thermostat only goes up to 75 deg. Felt like 70. It's winter outside and we're old. We like a warm room!!! Don't waste our money on this room. Other than that, the hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. I'd like to give a shout-out to a couple of staff that went above & beyond, but their web site doesn't have an email. Coffee shop was closed. Oh well.

Hotel is a midrange casino resort which has some major limitations that could be easily fixed.: There are no personal safes in the rooms, which means you’re stuck carrying your valuables with you while you’re on the premises. And there is no mini fridge. Unless you are super fond of year old creamers, you need to be innovative or bring your own cooler to store your carton of milk. The spa was my wife’s favorites for facials which are, unfortunately, no longer offered. The desk staff is courteous but limit themselves to quoting rules more often than not. The friendliness is extended more toward each other than to guest. The internet is terrible given the fact that you have to relogin every few hours or so with a complicated password and username. If the floor is busy, then chances are you will have a weak signal or interrupted service. If the above were fixed, it would compensate for the noisy motel style heating / cooling system. But that was a construction oversight and not easily fixed. The rates are usually reasonable but not cheap but fit the upscale room decor. There is a coffee shop that was not opened during our stay…the pandemic has certainly not helped the ability to staff. The cleaning staff is very friendly, much more than those at the front desk.

We live in nearby Bellingham and due to the recent high temperatures and smoke from wildfires we decided to spend a few nights at Silver Reef. The rooms in the north tower were clean and comfortable. We wished there had been a mini frig in the room but other than that there were no complaints about the room. The casino was pretty standard for the tribal operations in the area but it is 100% non-smoking which helps greatly. The staff was attentive. Food options are a bit limited at this time and the buffet is not currently operating. Pan Asia restaurant is open for takeout only. The pizza place and red river cafe are open. The food is pretty average but it was fine for a few days and we appreciated not having to leave to find something to eat.

I don’t like to write reviews like this but the hotel staff left a bad taste in my mouth. Total lack of service and no urgency to handle service issues. We booked a two night stay and checked in late on Friday. Got to the 6th floor room in the north tower with our luggage(it’s a walk) only to open the door on another couple already occupying the room we were supposed to check into. Had to walk all the way back to the front desk and was told yes they made a mistake. No real apology and staff was clueless that this was a major safety issue. I had left my husband on the 6th floor with all the luggage. Told the front desk that he was up on the floor however the front desk failed to tell me that I could not get back up to him without a key and they moved us to a room on the 5th floor. Cell phone service is also really bad in the hotel and you get dead spots so he couldn’t hear my phone calls to have him come down. I had to go down to the front desk a third time to get another key to get up to the 6th floor. The front desk person said oh ya you need a key. In the process of all this there was a very intoxicated couple in the lobby that the hotel had banned from the casino and security was handling however it was causing a great scene for other guests. Not handled very properly and went on for all my visits back and forth to the front desk. The hotel also took a deposit at check in for incidentals and what they failed to let you know is that their computer systems never worked so you couldn’t charge to the room the first day and a half. Restaurant staff seemed aware but no one at the front desk did. On the day of check out we asked for an hour extension and thought maybe the front desk would take notice due to our issues and they said they just couldn’t extend. When we left there were numerous empty rooms with one person working at the far end of the hall from our room. It was clear that we didn’t need to vacate the room that fast. I asked for a front desk manager from several of the front desk staff during my stay and was told repeatedly that no one was there until Monday. I finally was able to get a name on Sunday for the actual manager and left a voice Mail after check out and never heard back from management. I can’t recommend that you stay at this resort if you are looking for any type of service. They don’t care and they are not trained. There are other hotels in the area and you can Uber in if you want to visit the casino. Don’t think we will be back .

They force everyone through the main entrance for COVId / ID checks which is fine except if they are at max capacity. We had reservations at the Stk house which was 6 weeks out for a birthday party and some of our guests could not come in, we explained how we had 8:45 reservations and all of our guests were also guests of the hotel. Not only could they not get in to go to the restaurant they couldn’t even get in to go to their hotel rooms. After having to hold the table at the restaurant they finally got in... we had a nice dinner and proceeded to our rooms to drop off bday presents/coats ect. We walked past a guy with a clip board who asked us our room number... and thought hummm extra security? 5 minutes later we came back to go to casino to start having some fun when the same guy with clipboard said we could not enter back through to the casino because they were full and that we would have to go outside in the cold and rain through the parking lot and go stand back in line and wait at the main entrance. We were like WTF? We called the casino concierge (we are all too tier players) and asked if we could wait in hotel lobby until they had space for us ... and he said there was nothing her could do... so we checked out and left. They ruined our 🎉. Other casinos have separate wait lines for people with reservations. But SR failed to show any consideration for their VIP/ or their guests who had reservations. No apologies and no one tried to make it right. This is a cash grab business with no respect or regard for their customers. I will never plan another special event there and will never go there on weekends. We spent millions over the past few years in that casino and helped to shore them up to help the tribe during Pandemic... and this is how they thank us.

Stayed at the hotel valentines weekend, I am a local and enjoy going to the there for little getaways. Since I do not gamble I like to take advantage of the facilities and the restaurants. With Covid and everything being closed husband and I decided to book a room at the casino, get a massage and go to the Steak House. All was well until something poked my foot in the hotel room (picture below), it was a rusted piece of metal on the floor in the room by the window. So we took it to the front desk where the girl behind the desk said Oh no and stared blankly at me, I asked to speak to a manager, a person was called (don’t know if he was a manager) who looked at the metal and said “oh, would you like to report it to security” and we were walked over to the security desk in the casino where I guess the head of security said if we would like our room to be checked for other objects. We did yes. What really bothered we was that no one out of the 3 people was at all concerned or didn’t even apologize. The person who walked us over to the security desk asked us at least 3 times if we gambled instead,. This piece of metal could have punched my foot and done a lot of damage, a apology would have been nice. It is disappointing since a go to the Hotel a lot and expected better customer service for something that could have hurt me or my husband. Will have to think twice before booking myself a room there again.

I am a top tier rewards card customer at this casino and I am ashamed. I am fully honest is saying the customer service is horrible. The management do not care and they are as dishonest as they can be. I have won jackpots that they told me I had to forfiet based on a security guard saying I stated I didn't want. Really? I am sure it is in their best interest to believe an employee that is saving them money. DO NOT GO HERE...I recommend Skagit Valley Casino, Tulalip or Angel of the Winds....avoid this place at all costs!!
