Delightfully modern, clean & comfortable B&B set on an artist dream palette of Otter's Pond, pleasantly appointed with lily pads, roaming deer, a variety of birds and a knowledgable, gracious host, Amanda. Deliciously Amanda created breakfasts, a James beard recognized chef, locally sourced, eggs from her own chickens, tasty local coffee, warm banana bread fresh from the oven, fresh fruit & orange juice, pancakes flowing with local blueberries, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs & cured bacon.. I could go on! All this centrally located just minutes from Moran State Park for hiking, kayaking & exploring. Not far from the towns of Olga and the unique shopping in Eastsound. A De-Lovely moment in time & place to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary on the beautiful island of Orcas!

My wife and I had a super nice stay at Otters Pond. The room was really comfy with everything we needed. Amanda’s breakfast, known to be the best on the Island, was absolutely fabulous. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the many birds, squirrels, and deer. The location is great, right next to hiking and kayaking in Moran Park. We’re definitely looking forward to our next trip back.

we loved staying at otters pond bed and breakfast! we stayed in the chickadee room and the view of the pond in the morning was incredible. the breakfast was so delicious and Amanda is very flexible around dietary needs. the pastry of the day was a real highlight! we loved soaking in the hot tub at dusk and watching the sunset over the pond. We can’t wait to go back!

Otter's Pond B & B located on Orcus Island is a class act. Our room was comfortable and cosy. Large windows overlook the pond. There is a well-stocked library with a large selection of books. Amanda, our host, provided us with world-class breakfasts each morning. My wife is a diabetic and Amanda made sure our breakfasts were tasty as well as low carbohydrate. Amanda is a gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. An Orcus Island native she has excellent suggestions for things to fill your day. She suggested taking a drive up to Mount Constitution. The views at the top are stunning - a photographer's delight. If you are looking for comfortable accommodations in a pleasant setting you cannot go wrong by choosing Otter's Pond. We will stay with Amanda again when we are next on Orcus Island.

This beautiful accommodation is owned and operated by Amanda. Our traveling group of four occupied three of the five available rooms. Our rooms were beautifully decorated with modern, comfortable furniture. All the bathrooms had all the appropriate and modern features. The bathroom used by our party of two included two sinks and nice-sized walk-in shower. One main attraction for those staying at Otter’s Pond is the outside patio overlooking Otter’s Pond—beautiful to see and a relaxing place to spend some time. Redwing blackbirds and other small birds attracted to the feeders flit in and out. An even better attraction is the wonderfully delicious breakfast—we had two prepared by our host, Amanda, who was a chef in one of her past lives: quiche, not-too-sweet cinnamon muffins, fruit, and sausage on morning one, and, individual frittatas, baby potatoes, asparagus, fruit, and gluten-free muffins on morning two. Amanda keeps four hens that are named after TV's Golden Girl characters that lay eggs for the guests' breakfasts. Although it’s a few miles from the center of Orcas Island’s main area, staying at Amanda’s Otter’s Pond is a must if you come to Orcas Island.
