This historic hotel is a gem, but it has to compete with the big Best Western that arrived 10 years ago. If you want personal connection to the owners, personal service, a hotel with charm and character, pick this place! There's a roof top garden area that's delightful. Breakfast choices are home-made with care. Quiche, yogurt made with honey, etc. Great coffee!

My wife and I seek out historic hotels in Oregon and Washington. We were delighted with our 2-day stay at the Weinhard Hotel. This is the cleanest, best maintained historic hotel we have visited in our many years of these stays in both States. The owners were most welcoming and helpful. While historic, the hotel has all the modern amenities that all work. That is not always the case elsewhere. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Dayton. We walked the town, albeit not a large one, from the hotel. Many eateries are nearby, and the hotel is central to a local historic walking tour. The Weinhard Hotel will be our choice next time we are in the area.

Christina made our stay very enjoyable, the room was large , clean! , and well appointed. we were only there the one nite, but the whole place had a great vibe, beautiful antiques, with modern amenities, the included breakfast was hearty, I wish we could have stay longer, highly recommend the patio thingy on the 2nd floor, well cared for, and looked to be a terrific respite...

This is a really cute victorian hotel. You have that step back in time feeling with modern amenities. The owner is friendly , accommodating and has lots of information about the local area. The room was spotless with fun local touches: chocolates and local soap. Great outdoor patio on second floor and if you get a chance say Hi to Coco the local long haired Doxie, she is a doll!

Sev and Christina made us very comfortable from the beginning of our stay to the end. From an excellent local wine as we checked in with Sev to to a wonderful complimentary breakfast cooked by Christina herself on the morning we checked out. We enjoyed the rooftop garden and the amazing antique furniture that is used throughout the hotel which though built in the 1890s has been brought up to modern standards. Beautiful rooms with 14 foot cielings, instant hot water and luxurious sheets. We will always choose the Weinhard Hotel when we visit Dayton and the Palouse

Beautifully renovated hotel originally built in 1890 has retained its original charm. Utmost attention to every detail make this property incredibly beautiful. Rooms were very large and very comfortable. A cute rooftop garden which we did not enjoy, as it was cold and windy. Sev and Christina were anxious to assist us in any way to enhance our visit to Dayton. Several historic buildings and some beautiful old homes made for a great walk around town. Breakfast was amazing; quiche, fruit, avocado, cheese, cracker and lox! Healthy and filling. Highly recommend this property!

We had a delightful stay for three weekend nights in February. The hotel was warm both in welcome and in climate - appreciated during our snowy visit. The bed was soft and the room clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was a delicious quiche or scramble. Our host, owner Christina, provided great conversation, and we were pleasantly surprised to learn there was a bluegrass jam session on Friday nights. We hope to return when we are in the area again!

Had a great stay at the Weinhard. Awesome place in Dayton. Cool unique rooms, great breakfast, centrally located in downtown. Enjoyed the hotel and it’s an easy drive up to Bluewood for family skiing. Easy and fun weekend family trip. We’ll be back.
