This place is beautiful, so many nice amenities, the owner was the nicest, sweetest women. Easy beach access. The rooms were really nice and really clean as well. Had dishes and pots and pans to cook with. This is one of the best places I've stayed. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

They canceled us 5 days before the hurricane which eventually did NOT affect them but ruined our vacation We were looking forward to visiting the beaches and other local historical sites along with eating oysters.

We had our family reunion at Beachwood the week of 6/24/19. Jane (the owner) was very gracious and hospitable and worked with us to rent the entire place for our reunion. The entrance to the Beachwood is so scenic, and the beach is only a few minutes away. Jane and her staff worked very hard to make every accommodation for us and we really appreciated that. I have read other reviews for the Beachwood and I have to say that our stay was very nice. This was the second time we stayed at here (stayed there in May, 2018) and both stays were quite enjoyable. The questions below are a little misleading - the views from the room are not of the ocean, they views from the room are of other parts of the lodge. I'm not sure what it means "Is this hotel good for business". The rooms do not come with air conditioning because it is not needed. The daytime high temps are mid to upper 60s and in the 50s at night. The Beachwood is a short 2-3 minute walk across their land to the ocean - which offers a private beach.

We wanted to get away for the weekend and escape the daily grind of life. The requirements were somewhere relatively close, not super expensive, clean room and near the beach. The Beachwood Resort delivered. After making the reservation, I received a follow up email to confirm if we were bringing a dog. If you do, there are certain rooms that allow them, if you have a dog, you may be changed to a different condo. We didn’t bring the pooch this time, so we retained unit 26, a beach facing one bedroom condo with a king leisure bed. We arrived just after 1pm, the earliest possible check in time. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was ready and within 5 minutes we had directions where to park, where our condo was and the door code. The office has many movies you can borrow at no charge. The host gave me her business card and told me to text her anytime if we needed anything, even after hours. (Office hours are 9am-9pm) The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had very good water pressure. The bed was comfortable, extra pillows were in the closet. The kitchen was functional, electric stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and a separate stand alone freezer. This place is very quiet. It’s 5 miles north of Ocean Shores and the masses go there. We relished this as it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Walking through the dunes to the beach was very pleasant. There is a floating foot bridge that spans a waterway between the resort and the beach. Very cool. If you are looking for a nice clean place that is comfy and super quiet, this is it.

I'd love to say what a great we experience had, but it just wasn't. I had scheduled for a 1pm check in online, but our email confirmation indicated it was a 3pm check in. No biggie. We stopped in at 1:30pm and when we were informed it would be about another hour, we went on a little diversion in the sand. Despite being promised a text as soon as the room was ready, we hadn't heard anything and returned at 3:06pm. We still had to wait over 20 minutes before we got our code and were allowed access. We both totally appreciate that this is a small business and they are hustling, but with a perishable food in the trunk, we really wanted to unloaded. The room itself: the couch could have been longer, but was otherwise very comfortable. The tv is tiny, but we didn't come to the beach just to watch tv. At 8:30pm, our cable cut off and we were left to watch one of the movies from their office that I had picked out during my long check in. It came back on the next morning for about 2 minutes then died again. The beds were much more comfortable than we expected, but we did find dirty socks & clean diapers that were left behind from the previous guests. The most disappointing thing is that the hot tub was down. Despite speaking with the proprietor twice prior to our actual arrival, we were never informed of that. We wanted a hot tub, wifi, and beach facing. There was a misunderstanding and we didn't get access to wifi until 10:40am the next day, 20 minutes before we were to check out.
