Very professionally run. 2 couples stayed in Bear Hollow which was perfect. Two separate bedrooms at opposite ends with our own bathrooms. Cabin was clean. Really enjoyed hanging out on our back porch. We did walk around the grounds by the map provided, which was a circle, and it might sound ridiculous, but we got lost because the map provided was old and they had done a bunch of clearing of trees. We couldn't find the river access nor the road we wanted to take back. They did recommend Sauk Mountain Hike which we did, and we loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Woodsman cabin at Ovenell's Heritage Inn! It's clear the family takes great pride in their business and property as the grounds were impeccably well kept and beautiful. We never grew tired of seeing the incredible view of Mount Baker as you turn onto the gravel road that leads to the cabins and guest homes. While the Woodman cabin was small, the space suited my spouse and I just fine and it's rustic charm and coziness were undeniable. The cabin was also impeccably clean and well cared for. We appreciated the daily turn-down service which included trash removal and new towels and bathroom items being left for us. The wifi and direct TV worked well, the bed was comfortable, and we had no issues taking slightly long, back-to-back hot showers after our long days on the trail. Good value, great cabin, great stay!

We stayed in the Fisherman cabin and it was perfect for the area. The small kitchen and grill was perfect for cooking a rustic dinner. The bed was comfy and the bathroom sufficient. The gas fireplace was excellent. Some of the porch furniture had seen better days, but to be expected. Nice grounds. We enjoyed walking the grassy path on the property around the river. The cabin had foil, utensils, cups, and plates, as well as a small fridge and microwave. There is a grocery store nearby to get food for grilling. Close to Cascades Nat'l Park. Didn't interact with anyone. Key was taped to house with direction on how to get to our cabin. Left key in cabin for checkout.

Our group of 11 of rented Bear Hollow (Ovenell's biggest cabin) and The Woodman cabin to accommodate all of us. The woodsman is very small but is dog friendly and is a real log cabin which gave it a rustic charm. Bear Hollow is a two bedroom full size cabin with two futons in living room. It too had a rustic charm but was not a true log cabin. The cabins provided all eating utensils you would need. The fire pit was very nice and had picnic tables. This a complex of cabins that are close together, but on our visit, it was very quite and peaceful. There is also playground equipment for small children. The staff was very friendly and we were also greeted by Jackie, the dog. Jackie actually stayed on our front porch most of the time we were there. She was a very sweet dog. We all loved Ovenell's and would definitely return.

Needed a place to stay while I was flyfishing the Skagit River. My guide recommended this place. Way beyond my expectations. Incredibly friendly staff and owners. Beautiful cabins with kitchenette. Phenomenal scenery. I just came for fishing but there are many other activities including hunting biking mountain climbing and cross country skiing.
