My daughter and I stayed here for a week, they say don't judge a book by its cover. This is definitely the case here. The building might be rough on the edges, however the rooms themselves are clean and reasonably priced. I've stayed at a lot of these type of older motels and was expecting that old funky smell that usually comes with the room. However I was pleasantly surprised that the room smelled fresh and clean. The husband and wife team that manage this little mom and pop motel were very attentive and respectful to of us. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling thru the Colville area whether it's just 1 night or many.

My name is Josh Crill. The managers at Selkirk helped me with my police situation. I came back at 10:15 at night and Nick gave me all of my belongings even though I woke him up. The experience was great overall and I appreciated his help!

Stayed at the selkirk Oct 1st and was pleasantly surprised, the rooms were very modern and some of the cleanest rooms I have seen from any Motel. We arrived at almost 1 a.m, we had no reservations and the office was closed but the sign on door gave us an after hours number, the gentleman who answered was extremely nice even after being woken up,We told him we needed a room, he was more than accommodating opening the office up and having us checked in and in our room in less than 10 minutes from call to key. Room was much more than we expected, it had new tile bathroom, wood floors and a comfortable bed and was very clean. Could have used darker curtains but overall it was a great room at a great price with great service,we will be back. Linda and Roger Singleton.

Made reservation with the Wife.. we were late ck in ETA 10:30pm after a rodeo. We’d been traveling all day big rodeo and we’re looking forward to a good night rest.. we got a call as we were on our way from our event to the motel from the husband. We were not even 20mins away. He was confirming our arrival. Then minutes later called rudely to say he was cancelling our reservation because he didn’t want to wait for us & wanted to go home. Even though we had told wife we’d be little after the lobby closed. His excuse is we’re self employed and busy , WE SO ARE WE! I own 2 businesses! You keep your word and reservations, He would not. I AS GUEST offered solutions like leave the key for us we go to office in am, they already had our credit card. But NO He’d rather leave his guests STRANDED! The whole town was booked. This motel is a POS for service! I even was a tad worried reading reviews but the limited stays avail in town it was all booked.. DONT TRUST EVEN A RESERVATION you make! Thy leave you hanging with no conscience what so ever! Horrible ownership and no kindness or soul. Don’t bother booking.

The couple operating the place really don't act like they care you are there. I felt like the woman in particular was grouchy had better things to do and had an attitude like I was lucky to be there. Small rooms, small bathrooms and with a lousy attitude just not worth the money we pay. Sleep in your car before you spend your hard earned money here.
