We spent one night here recently. Our check in was swift and easy, the man who checked us in was friendly and informative. Our room was comfortable with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The windows opened fully and were beautifully screened, allowing for fresh air all night. Great, affordable place for a rest. Lovely grounds. This is an older court style motel and very clean and comfortable.
The rooms smell, they are dirty & run down. The beds are so uncomfortable. The owner checked us in & she was terribly rude & cranky. Barely speaks English. She does need to take some lessions on customer service! We could not get in to the breakfast because the door was locked so we went down the street. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!! I would sleep in my car first!!!
Check in was wonderful, no issues there. Was told breakfast was 7:30 to 9:00. Went to the office at 7:30, door was locked. Tried again 15 minutes later and had to ring bell. Owner wife came to the door and just stood there, looking none to pleased. I asked if I could have some coffee. Breakfast was cold cereal and some bread products so just grabbed a yogurt. Later as we were loading the car it was raining so I brought our stuff outside to the sidewalk so my hubby could load easier. I didn't realize we were blocking her way to roll the garbage cans down the sidewalk. After she pulled her cans off the sidewalk, then back on, she stopped and looked in the window and muttered something. She may not have seen me but I saw her and I'm sure what she said was not nice. At check out, the husband owner opened the door and she came out from the back and talked to him in their language and she still looked mad! I mean really, what in the heck did I do that could make someone to angry?! I had to remind him that I had to pay a 100 cash damage deposit upon check in, so she went in the back and thrust my money back to me. Other than that room was clean, but bed was so darn hard and wifi was pretty much non existent. Couldn't stay connected for more than a few minutes so had to use my data on my phone. I sure won't be staying there again.…
This is a clean, reasonably inexpensive place to stay for a night or two while travelling. It is a fairly typical roadside motel. The owners have definitely been putting some work into it. New roof, paint and landscaping within the last few years. There is a mixture of updating evidence in the room as well. It was spotlessly clean. Due to availability I was in a smoking room, which was fine, zero smell. They put in plank floors in this room (wonderful) so I am sure that is why there isn't the over powering lingering smell of smoke. They only have a few smoking rooms, so don't be deterred if this is a big issue for you. Personally I think it is cool they even still have any. The motel was booked to capacity, and still very quiet. All of the exterior doors seem to need that extra push to close (older building and all) so there was about a 1/2 hour of "noise" as travelers arrived, and you could hear that door bang. That was it. I didn't hear anyone's tv, footsteps, showers running, toilets flushing...nothing. I was truly surprised. The place is full booked, and I didn't hear hardly anything, so very impressive. Save yourself some money, and don't hesitate to stay here. My only wish, and I hope the owner's read these types of things, is that they would hop on the trend of ditching the comforters. The comforters in any hotel/ motel are just gross, but these are old and stained. Ultimately it doesn't bother me because the first thing I do in any room with a comforter is pull it off and fold put it in a corner somewhere. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price - look no further.…
The very nice lady at the reception desk gave us a lovely corner room that was big and very quiet. Everything was clean and in good condition. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable!! The location was excellent - close to the freeway and several restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place. Older facility with all the usual amenities at about half the price of a Best Western and a similar room. Nice staff and a nice free breakfast. A nice touch was the bathroom mirror. Had never seen one like this before. Nearby is a military museum which was one of the nicest and well equipped one I’ve seen. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and take the $70 I saved over BW and squander it on high class beer.
We attend an artist gathering each year. Last year several locals recommend the Relax Inn. They described it as clean, a bit older and worth the money. They were correct. The check in was easy but the clerk really didn’t encourage small talk or was very welcoming. Noticed the check in desk, lobby and breakfast area were in the same small room. The breakfast being a “grab and go” The room was large and clean, the bathroom recently redone and very clean. Missing were a listing of TV channels and list of restaurants. The motel is popular with construction and repair people. There were a number of work trucks. The next morning, we went to the office for breakfast. Two men had been trying to get in or get someone’s attention. As it was a half hour after the start of breakfast, we gave up and left. The next day we skipped the breakfast. Likely we’ll stay there next year as the price is good.…
It's a mid priced motel... the good: the flat screen tv was nice and the channel selection was okay. Now for the bad: a very uncomfortable bed...significant road noise from I-5... more noise from neighboring guests... the breakfast was cold cereal.. I had planned to stay three nights, but learned my lesson... not again.
We have stayed here two years in a row and have already booked for next year. A yearly car show is held in the sister city of Centralia and this place is a wonderful host to all of the old school hot rods that come into town for the event. Clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff and you can park your car right outside of your room for safe keeping. Beautiful hanging baskets and places to spend the evening outside your room with other people. Great coffee shop and close to a convenience store, other restaurants also close too. There are some really great local restaurants in the area check those out too.
We stayed in this hotel for one night. Woman at the front desk was nice, chatty and helpful. Rooms are a bit old fashioned, thats true, but clean, bed is comfy and there all facilieties you expect in your room and that is what matters to us. We would stay again.
