Great base for exploring the area! Needed a place to stay along I-5 between Anacortes and Portland between our set in stone plans. Wanted to explore Mount St Helens and this park looked great as a base of travel. We were pleased with the friendly and efficient reservations and check in processes. Found the small onsite general store to have... More

If you want peace and quiet, not the place to stay! Trains and highway in spades! We stayed in site 29. Too near the tracks but wanted to stay out of the trees for a satelite signal. I suppose the sites in the trees are a little less noisy but then hwy noise will take over. Wifi sucks.

We have actually stayed here several times. I guess we keep hoping things will get better and it is close and convenient. The last time we stayed the young man in the office failed to give us any information about wifi or any amenities...just took our money and sent us on our way. This time another young man gave us... This is a beautiful, expensive campground, with lots of amenities - BUT - it is situated on a small strip of land right between the I-5 and the main railway line going north from Portland. Very noisy all night long! The ground shook, the trucks roared by, as we tried to make the best of it by cooking a nice dinner... More

We found this place thru a brochure at the rest stop. Called got a spot, She really hummed and hawed about what site to give us- like they didn't really have any. When we pulled in they had a ton of spots-they have over 240 sites. At first glance it looks great but take a closer look. The landscaping is... More

We stayed at Toutle River RV resort for about three weeks. We picked up our two grandsons ages 5 and 10 and they spent a little over two weeks with us there. They loved it cause there was so much for them to do. It was a kids paradise. The problem was the trains. All day and All night passing... More

We made this reservation without checking reviews because the weekend was really busy and we wanted to make sure we had a spot. What a mistake! You come up to a kiosk before the office and are handed a form to fill out about your tow vehicle. The woman in the kiosk calls the office to let you through, but... More

Prior to our visit I read plenty of reviews; on this site or others. The one common thread; the noise. The freeway to the east and train station to the west. Did we hear the noise? Yes we did. Did we get past the noise. Yes we did. To be honest we used the train as a learning tool. We... More

This is probably the most complete RV resort we have stayed at. Everything including a large pool, clubhouse, huge pavilion, many picnic casitas, many fire pits with benches, two saunas, disc golf course, huge sites with choice of shade or not, free wi-fi, beautifully landscaped, many scattered restroom/shower buildings, all roads are paved with a brand new thick layer of... We stopped by without a reservation and found a nice park with hardly any people in it. Great flat sites with lots of grass. It did have lots of amenities but it was pouring rain so we only made use of the sauna, which was fabulous and we had it all to ourselves. There were some minor mix ups with... More
