Originally built in 1911 this charming hotel evokes the bygone days when staying at a hotel was a real treat, an exciting change from every day life. Many features of the first building have been maintained while many others, such as the plumbing and dreamy beds have been modernized. These rooms are not cookie cutter similar, so you should choose... More

The Camas Hotel was very nice and clean, but it was rather small with small rooms, so if you're only sleeping and heading out its fine. If you intend to stay in your room longer than that then you might feel a bit claustrophobic and many rooms share s washroom so that is another thing to deal with. The price... More

This is a great hotel in an historic part of a town that has little else to offer. The historic area is quite lovely with beautiful trees and twinkle lights everywhere but it is a small area and very close to the Georgia pacific factory. Yeah. Nothing ruins ambience quite as fast as a huge factory belching out smoke which... More

This place is sweet. I stayed in the tiniest of their rooms (#17). I was alone and just wanted someplace cheap and clean ($65). It's bare bones but nice, with a twin bed, a TV, little desk and closet, some hooks. The bathroom (just steps from my door) was shared, but there's another one and anyway it was never occupied.... Highly recommend this quaint and charming hotel. My husband and I stayed for one night as we were traveling from Portland to Seattle. The cost for a room with its own bathroom was very reasonable when compared to hotels downtown. The drive was easy to get here and we had a great time checking out the classic car show that... More

The room was decorated really nice. We picked a room with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable but a full I believe. Fine for me, a little small for my husband that is just over 6 feet tall. The staff was very nice and helpful. Getting back to the Portland airport took about 20 minutes from here and was... More

Lovely Setting. Close to Portland, across the river. Cute area with antique shops and lots of food choices. Quaint and different from most hotels, great staff and family like service. Nicely appointed rooms, though small.

Check in was handled nicely. Our room wasn't ready as we checked in early but they held our luggage while we grabbed lunch at a cute place next door. Stairs would be an issue if lugging your suitcase is a problem. Apparently we got the room with the best bed. The bathroom was a step up off the bedroom. It's... More

Nice downtown area, fun little shops and movie theater. Hotel was clean and efficient. We would stay again. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning as well as the comfortable king size bed. We were glad we choose a room with an attached bathroom.

Pros: Camas is a good alternative to the oh, so expensive Portland and is convenient for exploring the Columbia River Gorge as well as the Portland area. The Camas Hotel is a charming hotel. We had room number two which was on the 2nd floor (up 1-1/2 flights of stairs; no elevator) and faced the street. It was a good... More
