Since the Covid 19 virus we have been spending more time sheltering in place on the Hood Canal. My husband, has been complaining about not being able to go camping in the State Parks. He wanted to take a quick camp trip to test out the trailer in anticipation of the opening of our State Parks. We decided to take a two night stay at the nearby Cove RV Park. What we found at the Cove RV Park was amazing. The park feels more like a State Park with ample size RV sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. (Fire wood available for purchase.). Each site has more than enough room for awning and slide out. Beyond a State Park there is free cable and WiFi. The bathrooms and Laundry facilities are well kept. They are clean, spick and span. The grounds are beautiful with grass and nicely landscaped gardens. In the center of the park there is recreation area. For family gathering there is a gazebo with outdoor cooking area. You don’t have an RV to camp in? No problem there is a refurbish 1957 Spartan trailer with all the comforts of home including an electric fireplace. There is also a classic looking motel room. If all these amenities don’t get you excited to go camping at the Cove RV. Then the friendly camp host, who welcomes you and is generous with his time will. He is knowledgeable and has reliable information on all the local areas for hiking, kayaking, clamming, fishing, crabbing and shrimping. There is also a well stocked store with friendly, welcoming staff. The store has everything and anything one would need for enjoying their stay on the Beautiful Hood Canal.…
We were determined to stop again since our stay back in 2016 was so pleasant Again it was a slice of heaven even though it is the off season it is just as peaceful and beautiful as before All the resort is still beautiful and well maintained They still have the same owners and have had a new park manager taking over Mike was very friendly and I believe will do a great job ....Good luck and thanks for another great stay
Call way ahead of time to make reservations for a group of friend's. She said no problem and put us down for the end of June, over time some of the group had things come up and we were down to to couples. She said that wouldn't be a problem at all, when we arrived we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the bathrooms were clean as was the whole park. The store has just about anything you'll need. RV sites have full hookups and nice and pretty level too. I'm going to be sure to recommend your park to all my friends and if anyone asks where's a good place to go camping I'll give them you're name. Thanks for making our stay great. Thanks, Paul Power
First of all the owners Kimberly and Doug are the coolest owners I have ever met in my rv travels. When you first pull in you see the biggest cedar trees and 50 shades of green. Then the oysters and clams are 2 miles down the road on the Hood Canal. And if you are there during shrimp season you might be lucky enough to go out in Doug's boat and catch your limit. Sometimes they have BBQ's by the fire pit. Gives you the opportunity to meet the other campers. Kimberly is a lot of fun and between the two of them they make this a very special place to be. It was late July. Our 36' motor home fit nicely into space 12. The park is right on Highway 101, but it's not too noisy, if you are not in spaces 1-8. Cedars and other tall trees are in the perimeter of this park, which absorbs road noise.A creek borders this park, & a short trail winds through the trees next to it. The park is near boat launches, and a marina if you need it. A restaurant or two isn't too far away if you want one. The store onsite has a bit of everything, and hold several items to catch your eye. Collections of various items hold your interest. Also on site is a 'treasure store'; it, too is worth a visit. Wifi worked pretty well; it's a bit slow at peak times. The hosts are friendly, & will provide directions if needed. Restrooms & showers plus laundry are onsite. Horseshoe pit & loaner bikes are available. If we return to that region again, we'd return.…
