We paid for two nights at the hotel. My husband and I both won hot seat draws for a total of $900. We also had one night of our stay comped by the awesome casino host, Andy. So basically we stayed for free and made enough to pay for all our meals and gambled until we needed to sleep. Wonderful that the smokers are in their own room now and the majority of the casino is now smoke free. We will be back soon 😀
The hotel is fine, clean and the rooms can be generous in size. I had a 1bedroom suite with pass through fireplace to the living room and a jaccuzis. My big complaint is the mattresses are hard and uncomfortable. The only reason to go here is to gamble, absent that go elsewhere. The Muckleshoot has very nice rooms, great beds and room service along with an outlet mall and their casino has craps...
Rooms are comfortable and clean although dated. Robes and microwaves can be requested and are provided if available. The Skagit requested Skagit Transit stop the route to the casino effective January so unless you have a car it is a min $30 cab fare to get there. Lyft or Uber may be a bit cheaper if you can locate a ride. I tried for 11/2 hours last time I was there and couldn’t get either. They now finally have wifi in the casino but cell reception in the hotel and casino is unreliable.
We have had our Christmas party here three years in a row and every time the food has been cold and awful. This year they took it even further we went with 8 people to gamble and they cut off the MOST sober person but wouldn’t give a reason and when I say the most sober I mean walking and talking just fine. They cut him off after having of couple beers. We have spent at least 5k plus on each Christmas party and they cut us off gambling! The worst part is when they cut off one of the guys in our party I went to to just take him away and was literally 3ft away from the lady and she told me to get out of her face and to calm my voice! Really?! I work In customer service and I was being very calm considering the situation, we will never have another party here. They are awful the food was cold we had drink tickets but still had to pay for soda! Like really?! Don’t have a party there go to angels! …
TRYING to get a meal without several lung fulls of cigarette smoke is impossible. Buffet is open smoking and upper scale restaurant you have to walk through a smoke filled room first. UGH Prehistoric madness.
We had such a good time at the Skagit . My wife and I stayed here for the 2nd time. We loved the breakfast selection and won enough money to pay for our gas and ferry. They must have a new air system as we did not find it very smokey even though it was full. Can't wait to go back?
The casino only opens at 9 am so be aware if you’re planning an early start. The rooms are dated and really need a major makeover. No safes in the room means carrying your valuables with you at all times which makes it very inconvenient. Rooms are rarely ready early but you cannot pre-register so showing up early to get a better room is simply not possible. The good news is they will call you if your room is ready....saves waiting around the lobby for hours. Having said that, try to avoid the odd numbered rooms since the give on to the I5 which is very noisy on the best of nights. Moreover, try the 4th floor since the hotel is not well insulated between floors and you may get woken up in the middle of the night as people come back or have children run around in the room. The Casino, like the hotel needs to be modernized although they have changed many machines in the recent months. Dinning is limited and the menu even more. Since they do make money (very few payouts), you’d think they would set some of it aside to upgrade their facilities. Parking stalls are very narrow in most cases so if you prize your car and try to save it from scrapes and dings....I recommend you get a handicap sticker (which many non-handicap seem to have quite easily) or avoid the place altogether.…
I took my dad here for his birthday and we enjoyed a couple hours of slot play with some large payouts. The drink service and atmosphere added to our enjoyment of the time we spent playing. Overall, this is a relatively small but comfortable casino with slots that are not so tight that gaming is no fun.
Only stayed little while. Looks great on outside but the smoke inside is bad. They do not have a non-smoking playing area therefore you have to be with smokers. Less than half hour and felt like I needed a shower.
Went to an event and needed a room quickly. The Skagit was close so we booked there. Ended up in a smoking room (all that was left) you can really smell it. Other than that, the rooms are nice. There wasn’t a restaurant that serves breakfast on Saturdays which surprised us. We saw they had a snack/pastry bar that sold pre-made breakfast sandwiches which wasn’t what we wanted. The hotel is close to the freeway (i5) with easy access and a gas station right next door.
