I’ve stayed at Birch Bay Getaway many times over the years and it has always been amazing. I’ve come with groups of friends several times, with several family members and this last time with my immediate family. The owner or manager is very accommodating, heartfelt and kind. On more than one occasion he has worked around my schedule and my desire to have particular cabins or ocean views. He is flexible and very generous — often has flowers in the rooms and provides us with any extra things we need. There are wonderful fireplaces in the units and lots of wood. The last day we stayed overlooking the ocean and it was spectacular! The beds are brand new, the furniture is unique and interesting and everything was just right. It’s a really special place to stay.

Dear Nancy, I saw your review this morning and it is currently almost midnight on August 15th. Let me start out by saying that before I go off night shift, and before I saw "code name"(Nancfrance), I swear that you have given the Best Canadian French (French: français canadien) lessons of learning the language I could possible ever have! I love you country more than could imagine, particularity the cultural diversity. Over the years I want to let you know how honored I feel to have had you and your family as a guests. Back in the day when I was doing CAD$ at PAR I was pushing the envelope to do my very best to price match your currency with ours, as we are next door neighbours . It is so awkward for me to be in the position of being next door neighbours and NOT treat the CAD$ the same as the USD. I will brainstorm to think of how to price match your dollar = to ours, particularity since your country is much more progressive than the United States. I'm going to work on a price plan called the "progressive country pricing discount", clearly the U.S. has a lot to learn from the Canadian Confederation (French: Confédération canadienne). Maybe along the line of "buy three get the forth free". I'm setting up a new channel manager system, provided we will get rid by those absurd international credit cards fee's I'm just the one to set it up with my I.T. guy, who we refer to him as "Rain Man that does not pick up the tooth picks". Stay tuned. I'll let you know. Even without above I can (as I have done with you) work just about every angle under the Sun to stretch the CAD$ to its maximum with out tearing it apart.. Feel free to call or text me any time and and I"ll do upside down back flips in my flip flops to make it happen for you!

There were no beautiful flower baskets, the interior photos weren't as shown. The kitchen wasn't "fully equipped" as stated. The refrigerator was so noisy it woke us up at night. Your couldn't see the beach from the porch. Good things were that the linens were beautiful and white, both the towels and the bedding, and the beds were comfortable.

Dear Ms. Velvet 21, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It is my recollection you had many visitors over,if there was something that you needed all you had tell me to do was tell me as I was foot steps away. Yes, the view was slightly obstructed, when you told me of that I immediately trimmed the bush so you could get as much of the view as I could provide, at that time you did not mention any issues regarding the "fully equipped kitchen", had you expressed that at the time I trimmed the bush I would have immediately provided you anything you felt that was lacking in the kitchen. It is good to know the refrigerator apparently has issues, it is new and we had purchased an extended warranty on it. We will have the technicians come out and look at it. This is the strangest Summers I have encountered in the 17 years since I've been the G.M. It was only within the last month the road was repaired from the King Tide that tore out 1/2 the road from7 1/2 months ago. Not to make excuses, however a full time resident of 83 years next door said this is the worst storm he has ever seen in his life time here. Yesterday I purchased more flowers than we could plant, that was in part due to the repairs as a result of the storm in which we had 2.5 feet of water in our driveway. With regard to the photos, all those were just updated and I personally reviewed them on our website, they were accurate, and were done by a professional photographer within the last month. It is possible you were looking at photo's from another website. Irregardless, we strive to give you the best possible experience and apologize for any miss communication. Sometimes we don't always get it perfect. I genuinely appreciate your input as well as the input off the 10 Star review we got on another booking venue, which described no deficiencies in a similar cottage.

We have stayed here three times now. A great place to unwind and just reconnect. Not much going on in the spring and that's just how we like it! Cabin #7 is our go to place, clean and tidy, quaint cottage. This is not the Ritz, but it ticks all the boxes for me. Check out "The Beach" great bar, good food and wicked live music.

We stayed in the owl cabin. It was super cute, clean and full of all the amenities of home. The exterior property was full of unique items everywhere. It was really cool just to walk around and look at all of the art and statues on site. It had a BBQ and fire pit for guest use, just outside the cabin. Best part was just across the street was the beach!

I'm an artist and definitely would recommend this place for people like me. It is ideal for creativity because it is quiet and far from any major urban area. It is right on the ocean shore so you can enjoy the view of sunset or sea birds especially when the weather is nice and sunny. Neighbors or cars will not bother you by noise anytime of the day which guarantees you a good sleep and rest. At the same time, a well equipped kitchen will permit you to feel at home as much as possible in a hotel environment. This is an ideal place for a family with children to explore nature and is also pet friendly and a comfortable place for them to stay. The casual way to treat clients is also one of the rare options in this hotel that brings old customers back.

Dear T, It is always a pleasure to have you and your significant other back. I/we try my best to serve our guests individual needs in there entirety! As a point of interest, your portfolio of art went viral on another F.B. page we manage. I personally attest, that even my father being an art professor for 35 + years , your work is like nothing I have ever seen! I look forward to seeing you both here again, soon!
