I spent 5 weeks at the Hotel Bellwether. It was the perfect place to stay with beautiful well maintained grounds and far enough from the hustle and bustle of town , but close enough to be downtown in a matter of minutes. My room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and pillows and super absorbent towels in the beautiful bathroom. I had a very large patio with a view over the marina where I spent many evenings watching the sun set from the chaise lounge. The hotel lobby was warm and inviting, the restaurant was very nice with a view over the marina. The massive patio had heat lamps for cooler nights and comfortable chairs to sink into while enjoying a cocktail. There was also an underground garage. I frequently ordered room service for breakfast and dinner which was delivered with a smile (from behind a mask) and piping hot. The food was always excellent!! The hotel staff was amazing!!!! The ladies at the front desk always had a smile and knew who I was by name from my first day there. The housekeeping and room service staff were quick, polite and very efficient. I used the dry cleaning and laundry services frequently. Same day laundry service was fantastic. In by 9am back, delivered to the room, by 4pm. There is a spa next door, which I used and was very pleased with the services, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel if visiting Bellingham. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!!!

We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and left at noon the next day...it was with a group of friends and a birthday celebration! Exeptional service from start to finish, our rooms were clean and spacious, with superb views. We enjoyed drinks in the lounge then a great dinner in the Wine Cellar. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night and it was amazing. Absolutely gorgeous views of the bay and beautiful room. It had a fireplace, a balcony, a huge bed, the bathroom was like out of a magazine and had cabinet type windows you could open while taking a bath to expose yourself to the room. Coffee and beverages in the room, they are pet friendly and even have a little set up you can get for them that includes a dog bed, dog blanket, pet bowls and an adorable note hand written to your pet. My boyfriend got us the romance package that included a bottle of champagne, bath bombs, and chocolate covered strawberries. They are supportive of service animals as my boyfriend has a PTSD dog and they treated her so lovely. The staff was very accommodating, they called and asked us multiple times how we are and if there was anything that they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. We ate at the bellwether bar and grill as well and I had the burger and my boyfriend had the rib eye for 2 (I think it was) and both were absolutely delicious! even the fries were so gooood. We really are just blown away with how amazing this place is. My boyfriend and I stay somewhere about once a week as our date night (this has been going on for about 7 months now) and this is by far our favorite. If you haven't stayed here yet, I definitely recommend this hotel!

I booked an entire weekend 10/9-11 to enjoy a cozy get away. We arrived early so the room was not ready. So waited. Finally checked in. Had a nice night and heard some dogs bark next door. The room patio is not separate from other rooms so do not forget to lock and close your window. Also there is thin shutter door from the bath toilet area that does no provide enough privacy when using the toilet. In the morning of the first night found the bill under the door. Went to the front desk and was told an employee entered our booking information wrong and there were no other rooms for the night and we had to leave. They found a nearby hotel that was lower rated but the weekend was ruined for us and we left Bellingham. Found out you can find deluxe roomy king rooms and such for $70 in Bellevue.

Dear dillonm826, I would like to extend my most sincere apologies regarding the mix-up on the dates of your reservation. Our Front Desk Supervisor who reported your situation did not convey with me the level of dissatisfaction of your experience, rather, expressed that you were pleased with our efforts in securing your accommodations for Saturday evening. I am so sorry we did not move forward with additional efforts in ensuring your satisfaction. I have sent an email with an invitation to return as our guest on a future getaway so you can truly enjoy a relaxing experience on Bellingham Bay. Our General Manager and I both feel this is the right thing to do as your situation could have and should have been handled differently. I hope to welcome you back to Bellingham Bay again soon. Warmly, Kevin Widoff Front Office Manager

This is a very fine hotel in every respect. Service, the grounds, and the rooms themselves are excellent. They are pet friendly. There are two fine restaurants within walking distance: Anthoney's and Lombardi's.
