I had a nice, quiet stay. Looks like some remodeling is going on, but it wasn't a bother. I'm surprised to see poor reviews about the limited housekeeping. At check in I was made aware that breakfast would be available at the desk, and that there was limited housekeeping and was told that stay over service would be available upon request. Which I was quite happy with. What with everyone getting sick with Covid, you'd think more people would be appreciative of the hotel's effort to minimalize spread. I have stayed at many Bellingham hotels over the years, and this is one I have yet to have issues with. My only issue is that depending on where you're coming from (i.e. turning left into the parking) and time of day, it can be a bit difficult getting into the parking lot. And it's a bit difficult to see the driveway at night, since there's no street lamp. Fabulous stay, otherwise. Shall return!!

Breakfast: non existent, unprepared, ran out of food. Cold bottom of the kitchen scrapings, dried out sausage and bacon scraps, all before nine o’clock. Took forever to get service, as they assemble a bag of water and these leavings to give you. Not enough toiletries in bathroom, had to ask for extra soap. Procedures for pool use not made clear at check-in, have to pay TEN dollars per use to use a stone-cold pool and lukewarm, extremely over-chlorinated hot tub. Room refrigerator had not been defrosted since the ice age and was extremely loud. Had to unplug it in order to sleep. Pillows were lumpy with no support. No spare pillows. Lobby being renovated as we came in. Limited housekeeping, whatever that means, we shall discover. We have on more night here but imagine we are unlikely to have room serviced. I usually select Comfort Inn because it is a consistent, reliable franchise, but this is the worst experience I’ve ever had there.

I stayed in this Comfort Inn in Bellingham only 9 months aga - and remember it as being a solid, well kept place to stay. Well, not any more. Shabby would be my best one word description. Very thin, small towels, less than half a roll of toilet paper (had to ask for more) - very cheap soaps and bottles of shampoo, etc. Gym closed, pool closed, no breakfast - but I'm still paying $75 total for the room per night - even after given a Priceline discount. Room has an unpleasant odor - and there were no apologies from both front desk men for the unkempt disposition of the motel. I won't be staying here again.

This property really needs to be updated to continue to be considered average as it does not measure up to most other Choice hotels with an average rating or better. Housekeeping was lacking as was the breakfast area. Will try somewhere else next time.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Bellingham, Washington for 6 nights in February 2020. We were visiting a close relative in the hospital for the last few days of their life. Our original plan was to stay for 3 nights but our stay was extended two times first for one night, then for two more. Each time we contacted the hotel to confirm the extension and prepaid the stay while reserving the same room for simplicity. Our concerns have to do with hygiene and housekeeping. Hotel renovations moved the breakfast room to a small conference room which created understandable congestion. However, we found a long hair in the fresh tray of eggs one morning. The sheets on our bed were not changed for the entire 6 nights of our stay. We know this because my wife had a small scab on her elbow that cracked and bled a few drops of blood on the first night and the bloodied sheet was never changed during our entire stay. I even pointed it out to the night manager after the 5th night, who assured me he would pass on the concern to housekeeping. We discovered the next night sheets still had not been changed. The hotel reflects its age. The hide-a-bed that my daughter slept in was broken down and sagged making her stay very uncomfortable. I am sorry to report this inn experience was a disappointment and warrants reconsideration if hygiene is important. Interestingly, the hotel in response to my similar comments on their website simply requested we give them another chance. Why should we?
