The front desk only operates into the evening but the staff is exceptional at trying to make your stay enjoyable.
The building has a lot of 1950's feel. Although the building is aging, it is kept very clean.
We were in the king suite, third floor facing the street. The views of the garden blooms enhanced the morning coffee.
The kitchen reminds me of one of my first apartments, small but functional.
The only disappointment here was the bath/shower tile. The grout has started to give up. That made the enclosure feel less clean.
Very suitable place for a long stay. The bedroom allowed my companion to watch some TV after I went to bed, without disturbance. The bathroom is of the bedroom, privacy with anybody else in the suite would be limited. The couch and chair in the living space and the dining room table definately accommodates upto four people, but remember the bathroom location. There is only one although a two piece would have made this a family vacation hotspot.
We are Canadians and were there for the BlueJays and Mariners series. From this hotel before and after the games parking lot to parking lot was twenty to twenty eight minutes. That was in gameday traffic and closures weekday and weekend. Would stay here for Sounders and Seahawks in the future as well.

We couldn't find a hotel in downtown Seattle due to SeaFair so looked for a place on the East side with good access to the rapid buses into Seattle. The hotel is just behind the Bellevue mall and has a great location.

This was an old apartment turned into a hotel. Very spacious, but the room and hallway had a funky odor. The AC was frozen and had been dripping water on the floor. The room was clean. Breakfast was mediocre, but adequate.

This could be nice if the property was updated.

This is really an old apartment building that has been converted into a hotel. Rooms generally have a kitchen and dining area. Not high-end at all, but very functional. Great staff (at least on the weekend - we love Larry, who has been there for years).

The hotel website shows a well mantained property, but in reality is a cheap hotel, with old furniture and amenities taht remind me of my grandmother house.
The front desk ask us the kind of room cleaning service we wanted, and at the end they did not clean the room not even a single day.
When we complained about they just said it was a misunderstanding.
AVOID THIS HOTEL!

This is not a fancy place but if you want to be across the street from Bellevue Square, in a huge space with living, dining, bedroom and a full kitchen all for less than a nice dinner out, this is a great choice. A bit dated, but very comfortable. They even serve a continental breakfast. And free parking too. We will definitely stay there again.

After much searching for a reasonably priced hotel in Bellevue, we found La Residence. It is a cute, old apartment building close to shopping. If you are in a budget, the kitchen is fully equipped and there are grocery stores within walking distance. When daily tasks were accomplished, we enjoyed walking across the street and through a parking garage to get to a very large mall. The only warning about this place is don't try to park in front of the hotel because it is a tight squeeze. There is plenty of parking on the sides and in the back.

My wife and I stayed here a couple days ago with our 9 month old and I must say we will be back! Truly a hidden gem. You will not be disappointed.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon (April 21) and were greeted by one of the most helpful front end staff I've seen in a long time. She directed us to our room quickly, and took the time to give us map and tell us where the local businesses were located. She even knew when I asked her about a specific restaurant. I was also impressed by her knowing we had a baby and offering to get us a crib. One general observation I have though is that hotels don't' seem to offer high chairs. Offer me one and you'll have me as a customer for life.

Our room was a one bedroom suite with a king bed. Yes the furnishings were somewhat dated including the old TV but everything worked fine. I've stayed in rooms with 42 inch flat screens that didn't work so I'll take dated and operational over new and kerplunkt any day. The room was also exceptionally clean ao housekeeping take a bow. The rooms also featured new windows which cut down on the noise.

Kitchen was fully stocked but a kettle would have been nice.

Everywhere you went in this hotel, you were greeted by helpful and friendly staff who were quite knowledgeable about the area.

This location is the best feature of this hotel as it is close to an incredible mall, restaurants, and even a 24 hour grocery store up the street. We were also at Pike Place Market From door to flying fish in under 30 minutes!

Bellevue is a great place to stay when visiting Seattle and La Residence Suite Hotel is the best place to stay!

Oh and did I mention 2 nights cost a mere $244? Online booking was very quick and all questions I had were answered promptly via email.

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. Good hotels make for memorable holidays!

We were very pleased with our stay here. The price was right ($99 for a Sunday night), and we got 2 connecting rooms (we paid for each room, so $200 for the night) for our family of five. We could easily have gone with the king suite alone and had plenty of room. There is a good sized living/dining area, the kitchen, the bathroom, and a separate bedroom. It's in a terrific location right across from Bell Square, and it's exceedingly easy to get on/off the freeway.

It's difficult to find places large enough for all of us, so this was a great find. I read about it on another travel site then hopped over here to read reviews. We would definitely stay again. The staff were very nice, and the place was clean and welcoming. Somewhat dated, as others have said, but if you're comfortable and it's clean, who cares?

The breakfast was typical carb-heavy fare, but it's free and does the trick. Very pleased on pretty much every count. Great job, La Residence!

After a 2 year lull, we were in Bellevue again. This time we brought others and collectively we stayed in both 2 bedrooms. Room 21 is on the front side which I prefer. It's nice to look out and see what is happening along the sidewalk. This one has two chairs, couch, dining room, full kitchen (including stove/oven), one bathroom, nice work table for your computer. One bedroom contains a king bed while the second has a queen. One television (living room). The 2nd 2-bedroom fronts the rear and while probably quieter, the two "problem" areas is that you might hear the trash trucks when they pick up things and the master bedroom has sound issues when the elevator is in use. This was quickly we got over after the first day. This also has the full kitchen, 1 bathroom, queen and king beds. Where it differs is the inclusion of a fireplace, one recliner instead of 2 chairs and a beautiful roll top desk. (My brother said they should install a power strip as plugging things in was problematic).

Improvement: MUCH BETTER breakfast offerings. Not sure if it's because we woke up earlier but we had more to choose from.

Downside: NO HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE!!! They eliminated this over the past 2 years and while the majority of parking is just as close, it became problematic when the hotel was full and no space was available close to the door. While I can understand somewhat the reason not to have this taking up empty space sometimes, I wonder if they can mount a temporary handicapped sign when needed by a guest.

Other Pluses:
1. Very friendly staff
2. Small exercise room
3. BBQ grill on the 2nd floor terrace.
4. Washer and Dryer (fee for this)
5. Right across the street from the parking garage that's connected to the Bellevue Mall.
6. Nice stroll to the nearby Park.
7. Down the street from a QFC supermarket for those that want to utilize the cooking options in the room.
8. Conference table/room for any need.

Yes, to some extent there is a dated look but as someone who stays in many upscale places, if you tend to enjoy the ability to stretch out and have some privacy (or stay up late when others are trying to sleep) AND you want to not pay through the roof for doing so, this place is for you. Now we need a frequent stay program (although AA is available).

My son, d in law, toddler grand daughter and I stayed here recently for 4 nights, visiting family in the area. From other reviews I was expecting shabby chique but our 2 bedroom apartment was elegant yet homey, very large and up to date. And it was air conditioned (90 degrees each day we were there).

The price was amazing. A tiny 1 bedroom suite at the Westin was over twice the price. Plus we had free internet (and it was very reliable) and free parking. The kitchen has dishes, etc., a full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher and stove. Even granite counter top.

It is close to everything in downtown Bellevue. If you have little ones, be sure to walk 1 block south to the Downtown Park playground and/or go to the 3rd floor at Bellevue Square (mall across the street) for a free play area.

Finally, the service made us feel at home. Very welcoming and accommodating. We asked for an extra coffee pak (4 cup coffee maker) and they brought us 4 within minutes. We have already made reservations for Thanksgiving.
