Detailed Reviews
Great from beginning to end. E-mail responses are virtually immediate; location can't be beat, right next to Starbucks and Safeway. My room was a full one-bedroom suite with a separate living area for right around $100. Spotlessly clean. COVID precautions were in place, sanitizer and appropriate signage everywhere; these owners and staff clearly care about their product, and it shows. Kudos for a job well done.

Stayed in your hotel this April during the Coronavirus. The staff was courteous and all were wearing masks and gloves and were super cautious about potentially spreading the virus. The hotel was immaculate and the amenities were fantastic. Not a vending machine to be found, but didn't need one because anything you want out of a vending machine is complementary in the lobby. Room with spotless and beautiful. Centrally located across the street from multiple restaurants and Safeway. Bainbridge ferry terminal is literally 3 minutes away. Paid $82 for a suite that would have been easily $200 + on a weekend during the summer. The room came supplied with anything you could possibly need and was beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodations on Bainbridge Island.

I had written a review for the Marshall Suites a few years ago, but I wanted to write a new review because we had a great stay!
We booked two rooms for my grandmother's birthday this past week. I called the night before we were going to leave and ask if we could get rooms next to each other and they were able to accommodate that!
When we walked into each room we saw that the room was equipped with slippers and robes, and everything in the room was spotless!
I think last time I complained about the internet being spotty, this time, we had no problems at all!
I also didn't catch the name of the woman who was working at the front desk all day on Wednesday May 5th, but she was FANTASTIC. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful!
We loved our stay and will be back for sure! This is our go to for Bainbridge!

We visited Bainbridge over the post Christmas/New Year weekend and were impressed at the beautifully decorated Marshall Suites hotel and great accomodations. The secured free underground parking garage was awesome since the weather wasn't great. They give you free baggage carts which are very handy for carrying bags to your room. Breakfast was included in package which was a great value. All in all we appreciated the spacious suite, cleanliness and great customer service. Hotel is across street from grocery and drug stores in a very nice neighborhood. Thank you for the experience.

I knew nothing about this area prior to this trip and chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews - it was a great choice - very clean and very well run.
My only criticism is that they have abandoned recycling during these difficult Covid times.
There were many unique touches that I appreciated and I would like to mention how impressed I was by a young employee named Bria who was putting out the breakfast take and go bags as well as some extras for Mother’s Day ( roses snd chocolate torte). She was extremely pleasant and hardworking... to see a young person doing her job so well is again ... impressive!

Responded May 15, 2021
Hello, we are pleased to read your kind comments. As the Front Office Supervisor, Bria does a great job managing the team and making sure your stay is flawless. Thank you for staying with us at such a special time, Mother's Day. As we recover from the challenges of the pandemic and increase staffing levels, we hope to restart our recycling program soon. Until then, we recommend the recycling services of the nearby transfer station for proper processing. Stay safe and well and come visit Bainbridge Island again soon.

In April 2022 I had room 307, a "junior suite." With better appliances this would have served well as a permanent residence for one person, and was quite comfortable for a visit for two. We had a rate around $110. Across 4 continents, I have probably stayed in 500 hotels ranging below Motel 6 to legitimate 5 star hotels. For the price point selected, I have never found a better value than The Marshall Suites. The innkeeper clearly takes pride in their work and property, and pays attention to detail. Friendly staff. Tiny workout room (really tiny) still has very good quality equipment. Across the street are restaurants and a supermarket.

The hotel is on a main street so you hear car noise until midnight then it resumed around 6 on the weekend mornings. Starbucks in the plaza across the road opens at 4:30 am so street noise started even earlier during the week. The hotel seems to neglect everything and not care hether it's rooms where the doors all had greasy fingerprints that had not been wiped off, a greasy smear was across the desk, grout in the bathroom floor was black, couches had dirty arms and a fold out bed had one bottom sheet and one blanket that made our daughter sneeze all night. There were pillows but no top sheet and the blanket looked clearly unwashed with dust coming off when we shook it in the hall. There were tiny ants on a paper coffee cup left in the garbage can over night. Though there is lots of staff, they don’t seem to pay attention- a front desk staff member in the elevator did not move to hold the elevator door when it started to bag into my husband who was going out. Instead it kept banging into him- yes, he’s slow, but why not lend a hand when someone is wheeling two suitcases? There is a 9:00 staff start so staff members come to eat from the breakfast buffet but they didn’t sit down and instead stood next to the food picking up what they wanted and eating while they stood there- one woman picked up a hard boiled egg (her hands were touching all the eggs in the container) and ate it standing there with no plate under it so pieces falling on the food buffet table. The woman responsible for cleaning breakfast tables and the counter food was on kept spraying tables and counters sending mist over peole and plates with food on them. The manager stood eating at the breakfast buffet while complaining about two staff members she clearly did not like but hotel guests having breakfast could hear everything they said. The facilities and attitudes of staff from the manger down were unbelievable.

An eighty five year old woman was locked out of her room at 10pm on Christmas Eve when her dog tried to escape. No one was at the front desk and no one answered the number people are instructed to call in case of emergencies. Our friend had nothing but her dog in her arms. No phone, no wallet, no coat. My husband, who had walked her to her room, took her to a nearby friend's place. If he had not been there, what would she have done?
In the morning, the young woman at the desk was apologetic and did not charge for the room for that one night. She mentioned that the woman who is supposed to answer emergency calls had 'gone missing'. A new emergency number was placed on the counter the next evening. The number of the 'missing' woman, however, is still on the front door. What would have happened if the dog had been locked in the room? Or a baby? In a case like that, do we call the fire department to have the door forced open?

Stayed one night (7/12/24) and was happy to leave. This place is WAY OVERPRICED for the quality. My only assumption is that there aren’t other properties available to force competitive rates because we paid $390 for a double queen room. There was generous square footage in the room but I would have gladly traded it for a bathroom that didn’t look like a roadside motel. The reason why it’s not a one star review from me was that the covered parking garage was convenient with luggage carts nearby and the continental breakfast was a tick above acceptable. Overall, this place is to be avoided until they have a reality check about the quality of their accommodations and hospitality.

"Suite" was a large room with the television screen inconveniently placed. Mattress a bit soft for our taste. No coffee maker in room, apparently because of an environmental issue? All-day snacks are a nice touch, but breakfast offering was poor; scrambled eggs were cold and no bacon or sausage offered. Upon our arrival at 3 pm, we were told there would be a $25 fee to get our room, as check-in time was at 4. We are usually BestWestern Plus/Hampton Inn type people, and this place just seemed a little "off". Staff was nice, though.
