The rooms are exquisite...the grounds are excellent....the winery is just up the mtn, you are right on rock castle Creek. This is a great place for a small wedding! Lots of trails to hike near by. The blue Ridge Parkway is only 20 minutes away. Don't forget to stop at Wade's produce!

On this 3rd visit to the Inn, we were once again beyond pleased. The new innkeepers, Shelley and Patrick, are delightful. They are continuing the high level of service, mouth-watering 3-course breakfasts, and unbeatable quality of comfort. The improvements to the Inn are pleasing and our stay was perfect. We will visit again...hopefully before another 7 years go by...LOL. Thanks... More

The website doesn't do it justice. We were in awe of the inn and the innkeepers. Patrick and Shelley made us feel very welcome. The inn is beautifully maintained and you definitely feel as you have stepped back in time. The breakfast deserves 5 stars for the food, service and setting. Our room was quaint and comfortable. Floors are a... More

This was our first time at the Mountain Rose Inn, but Lord willingly, not the last! The Inn, the grounds, the food...everything was absolutely amazing!!! It was such a relaxing getaway! Shelley and Patrick truly have a gift for hospitality! They are so kind and welcoming -like old friends! And the food; oh my word!!! The only negative thing about... More

Thank you, Rebecca, for your heartfelt review. We are so thrilled that we were able to create a true get away for you both and wish we had the chance to chat with you more than we did. Please have Rudy bring his guitar WHEN you return. Warmest regards, Shelley and Patrick More

We love B&B's and stay at them whenever possible. This is one of the best we've tried. We spent most of a week driving the Crooked Road and listening to lots of "the fiddle and banjo stuff." Innkeeper Patrick also plays a mean acoustic guitar. One warning: you are truly in the boondocks, but that's the point. The nearest decent... More

Thanks so much for the great shout out Bob and Kathy. We agree that part of the charm of the area is that we are truly a "get-away-from-it-all" kind of destination, so we try to provide amenities to that end. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting you poolside and hope you will come see us again when you are out our way.... More

I have been fortunate to have been well traveled in my life and experienced 5 star establishments. Mountain Rose Inn kicked their butt. The inn was beautiful. The property was immaculate. Food delicious (I know as a chef I was impressed ). My guests were treated like royalty. The innkeepers went above and beyond any expectations. They took care of... More

This was our second time to the inn and we loved it even more this time! This is the place if you really want to relax far away from the bustle of big cities. The location makes you feel like you are a hundred miles from anywhere even though you have lots to do just 12-15 miles away. It is... More

One of the best things about our jobs as innkeepers is to visit with guests who have been to places we haven't been to, hear stories about the surrounding area, and make memories of our own. We enjoy creating a place where travelers feel welcome and relaxed -- and then choose to return time and again. We hope we will... More

The Mountain Rose is a new found favorite more my wife and I. We were only able to stay for one night but hope to return again soon. The innkeepers were kind and had great information about the surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. Thanks for the great stay!

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable weekend here last summer. The innkeepers were extremely attentive, the inn was clean and comfortable. We spent time at the nearby vineyards and some drives down the parkway. Was also nice to just sit out by the stream and relax. Would highly recommend for any couples wanting a weekend getaway.

Although we were not here when during your stay last summer, we hope you will return this year for more romance and local touring. We've blazed a trail on the other side of the creek and our pool area has been spiffed up and is beautiful to sit by and cool off after a day of wineries and shopping. We... More

What an amazing place! It is very secluded and peaceful. The old house has been renovated and the rooms were beautiful! This was our first stay in a B & B and we were very pleased with the experience. The Innkeepers, Patrick and Shelly, made us feel very welcome and comfortable and the breakfasts were awesome!
