We took our first train trip to Williamsburg and got in around dark. We were pleasantly surprised at how safe it felt to walk to the Fife and Drum. We had no problems checking in after hours and the stairs weren't a problem for us. Breakfast was delicious, buffet style. The quiche was fantastic! We are relatively new to B&B's...

The Fife & Drum is a really great place to stay while visiting William & Mary or Colonial Williamsburg. It is in the heart of town and adjacent to some of the best places to eat, ie Aromas Cafe, The Blue Talon, and Kilwins. The rooms are clean & comfortable and the staff is wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and served...

We stayed at the D&F because the Williamsburg Lodge was full for a business meeting. Next time, I'd select the D&F as my first choice. The price was comparable and it had more character. I was concerned about noise because of the age, but it was very quiet and there is a good coffee shop and a french restaurant on...

We rarely stay in B&Bs because of (1) our need for a quiet room and (2) not wanting to be in an overcrowded breakfast area with people we may not want to socialize with, but we made an exception this time due to the great reviews by others on TripAdvisor. We are SO GLAD we made that exception. Owners Billy...

The Fife and Drum Inn is conveniently located in downtown Williamsburg. The owners and staff were very personable and provided a very high level of service when needed. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The food service was superb with a variety of freshly baked items as well as fruit and cereals available on the breakfast buffet.

We loved our stay at the Fife and Drum Inn. We stayed in the Drummer's Cottage which is the only accommodation which doesn't require climbing up steep stairs. Other than the stairs issue, we found the Inn's location to be perfect, the innkeeper very helpful, our cottage very comfortable and spacious. We would stay here again.

Fife and Drum is consistently great. The inn is very clean and charmingly decorated. The innkeepers and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You are about a 2 min walk from the historic area and right next to tons of great restaurants and shops in Market Square. Our only complaint -- there were not...

We stayed in the Fife & Drum Inn for a quick one night in Williamsburg. My husband and I are alumni of William & Mary and we were lucky to stay here the first year it had opened and again this year in March. On the website it says there is a 2 night minimum yet we couldn't find a...

At the time we went the prices were very reasonable. The place was very clean breakfast was very good. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful about information that you might want about the area. As far as I know all rooms have private bathrooms. The reason why I gave it three stars was because of the stairs there are...

Very sorry that this guest had a hard time. As advertised on our website all rooms of the Inn proper are on the second floor of the historic Hitchens Building in down town Williamsburg. We do offer the Drummers Cottage as an option for those that can not manage stairs. I let guests know they may pull up to the...

My husband and I just returned from our fifth stay at the Fife and Drum. Once again Billy and Sharon and the staff outdid themselves in providing a memorable weekend. The rooms are always impeccably clean with great amenities. As vegans we have not been able to enjoy their full breakfasts (which look delicious) but there is always enough for...
