My 12-year old daughter and I went on a girls getaway to Colonial Williamsburg and we had a wonderful stay here in the George Washington Room. We were in easy walking distance to all restaurants in the historic district and merchants square, William and Mary is a stones throw away, off-street parking and a delicious breakfast. Our room was nearest...

The Fife & Drum is a really great place to stay while visiting William & Mary or Colonial Williamsburg. It is in the heart of town and adjacent to some of the best places to eat, ie Aromas Cafe, The Blue Talon, and Kilwins. The rooms are clean & comfortable and the staff is wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and served...

Spent only two days at the inn. I regret not been able to stay more... The inn is incredibly beautiful, with well thought details that give it a charming look. My room (George Washington) was also very practical, reasonably spaceful and noise-free (except for the delightful sound of old wood under your feet). I also enjoyed very nice and rich...

Definitely a best-kept secret. Walked past this inn for years without realizing it was there. Glad I found it! The room was nicely appointed, "traditional" without being too kitschy. Bed was very comfortable. Can't beat the location, and a great breakfast too. They have their own parking lot across the street. Price is on the higher end for Williamsburg but...

The hotel is in a great location - right in the colonial area. All the rooms are on the second floor, no elevator. The bed was very firm if you like firmness in your mattress you would like this one. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our stay.

Walking distance to office of admissions at the College of William and Mary make the Fife and Drum the perfect location for anyone visiting the College. The room was attractive, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and ample. Innkeeper graciously provided map and walking directions. Highly recommend for prospective students and parents on a college visit.

My Husband and I went to Colonial Williamsburg for a quick weekend getaway to relax and see some sights. We hadn't stayed at Fife & Drum previously, but I had wanted to stay since my last weekend in Williamsburg but the Inn was booked at the time. The location of this Inn is awesome! It's right in the Merchant Square...

We have stayed at the Fife & Drum every year and have never been disappointed. It is in the heart of Williamsburg and within walking distance of most venues. The staff is always helpful with any of our needs and always provides useful information about the local area. The breakfast every morning is wonderful and really helps get your day...

A night at Fife and Drum Inn was part of my birthday present, as well as a visit to nearby A Chef's Kitchen. From the check-in to the check-out, everything was top-notch. Billy was most gracious and never acted the least bit frustrated with our many questions. The breakfast was outstanding, with blueberry French toast casserole, biscuits to die for,...
