An 'Applewood' a day for a memorable stay. This Flemish bond brick home was built in 1929 by the construction manager for the Colonial Willamsburg restoration and features many finely crafted Colonial details of the 18th century. The owner's unique apple collection is accented by beautiful antiques and 21st C amenities. Guests enjoy a full breakfast served by candlelight in the elegant dining room and afternoon refreshments.

Had an amazing time at Applewood Colonial B&B. Was the second time we were lucky enough to stay here. Can't wait to go back. Hosts were wonderful! Breakfast was delicious every day. Close enough to everything in the historic triangle that you could possibly want to do.

Excellent place. We loved our stay. The place was centrally located. The food was amazing & the owners were super friendly. They accommodated my allergy with gluten free food. I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. Book early because they have a lot of old costumers that book all the time. They are very knowledgeable of the area and activities.

This B&B is conveniently located near William and Mary College and close to Historic Williamsburg. The House is cute and has a beautiful garden. We stayed in the Tree Top Suite, which had a beautiful four post queen bed, a separate area and day bed for our teenage daughter: made visiting W&M very easy & fun! Denise and Monty, the owners, are wonderful, the breakfast was delicious and coffee was great! We look forward to returning again and highly recommend this charming place.

The proprietors of Applewood have done a wonderful job at providing an inviting, warm comfortable environment. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and special. We spent time over breakfast and after our tours, chatting like old friends. The location is great, walking distance to the colonial area, restaurants and on a quiet street with parking. Denise and Monty gave us great suggestions for things to see. Our room was large, comfortable with a full bath. Breakfast were excellent and Denise accommodated our numerous food allergies. I am looking forward to going back.

I had a lovely February birthday weekend in Williamsburg. The photos simply do not do justice to how lovely the BnB is. The rooms are larger than anticipated, the road is very quiet, and the cookies left out were wonderful. I loved staying in the blue room, the bedding was so plush and warm. The home was so quiet you would never guess a couple was in the next room or a family was in the room above. The books around the living room and bedroom were great reading. Breakfast was amazing as well! The location is within walking distance to Merchant Square, and parking is so easy. It was a picture perfect stay convenience, relaxing, great conversation and a fabulous breakfast. Everything was wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at Applewood Bed and Breakfast! We loved our comfortable room and it was beautifully decorated! Denise and Monty were awesome hosts. Did I mention the breakfast?? Breakfast was delicious EVERY single morning we were there! We got great advice for sights to visit, too! The whole house is beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely go back again!

We stayed at Applewood several years ago on another visit. Like last time, we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and had a small fridge, the bed was comfy, and the breakfasts were sumptuous. Applewood provides parking passes and is centrally located. It is great to feel welcomed.

At our arrival, Denise putt us at ease with her greeting, and so set the tone for the entire visit. The house is beautiful, the Blue Room is well-appointed and quiet, and breakfast was wonderful. B&B does not get better than this.

We stayed at Applewood Colonial Bed and Breakfast for our Daughter's graduation from William & Mary and could not have been treated better. Everything was clean, everything worked great and the house is just beautiful and filled with colonial style decor. We actually had two rooms, as our younger daughter and my mother in law were also staying. My wife and I stayed in the "Mrs. Holland's Blue Room and my daughter and mother-in-law stayed in the "Twin Elms" room. Denise went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible stay. She even allowed our daughter, who wasn't a guest, come and have breakfast both days. If you are planning to stay in Williamsburg and want to book a B&B, look no further!

We visited in May and stayed at Applewood for the first time. I'm always a little nervous about B&Bs but this place was great! Spacious rooms, good location, lots of charm. Denise was so welcoming and hospitable and made a great breakfast. We will definitely be back!
