We were visiting Williamsburg area for college visits and decided to stay in colonial village. Williamsburg Inn is the main hotel and Providence hall is the sister property, a short walk from the main hotel. The entire staff was excellent! from check in, concierge, especially the bellman! Housekeeping, pool staff, etc. they have tennis courts, golf, loaner bikes, pool. we... More

We were very excited as we arrived at the Williamsburg Lodge for our weekend stay. Due to a mix up - which the reception staff told us was a mistake by the reservation department - the correct rooms were not available for our stay (no bed for our son as on our reservation) After 30mins we were told that they... Staying at this place spoils you and makes it hard to stay at one of the chain hotels in the future. The staff are remarkably warm, friendly, welcoming and appreciative that you chose their hotel. The morning breakfast in the Regency Room was a great start to the day. Your coffee and juice arrive within seconds of being seated and... More

We visited Williamsburg with our 13 & 11 year old children, and our two small dogs. Unfortunately, because of our dogs we were placed in the Providence Inn section of the Williamsburg Inn. Our room in the Providence Inn was old and not very clean. Our dogs successfully found a dead petrified frog in the room. We also had a... More

We stayed at Providence Hall in March. We were on the upper floor and had a balcony that faced the duck pond. The room is huge and comfortable, as well as being well appointed. It is so quiet and peaceful. We sat each night on the balcony listening to the frogs and ducks. This without a doubt is a special... More

We stayed at the Providence Hall Guesthouses in mid November. You check in at the Williamsburg Hotel. The staff was most welcoming and excellent. Guest services assisted us with tickets to special programs and gave us tips that were most helpful during our visit. They were aware that we were celebrating an anniversary and when we arrived in our room,... More

We stayed here for a few nights on a road trip through VA. The best part was the location and walking access to the village. We opted for the breakfast included that was served at the grand Inn. This was pure Williamsburg luxury. The dining room served an excellent, high-end buffet with superb service. However the rooms at the guesthouse... More

We were celebrating our anniversary and stayed for the weekend through the Couples Getaway Package. So glad we chose Providence Hall! Our room was on the second floor, facing the woods and pond, with a nice balcony. Lots of room and loved the two sinks and area to dress. Perfect for a couple. Breakfast from The Inn was included in... More

If my sources are correct, this building was originally put together for business conferences back when business travel was posh. Its kind of late "Mad Men". Hence most of the rooms "convert" to suites so the second room could be used for entertaining, there are 2 HUGE conference rooms etc etc. The architecture hasn't aged well and the outside isn't... The Providence Hall Guesthouses are, well, strange. They aren't guesthouses as the name suggests but rather just aging hotel rooms. The couple of buildings are a bizarre little "addition/expansion" of the Inn and at best are an afterthought. The first thing one notices is the styling: modern, concrete or some similar siding, flat roofs, vertical windows, glass doors, (and heavy... More
