Room was very large with a chair, sofa and a desk and chair. Very clean with ample space. The outdoor area was very nice, with many flowers and a wooded area. The entire area was very quiet, free of traffic noise.

Good hotel location was great. Close to everything we could walk to historic places & restaurants. Room quite large & clean. We had a balcony with a view of pond. Staff friendly. Perfect for a few days.

Yes the room is dated but it’s quite large, clean, and you can’t beat the view from the room patio and short walk to everything! We did stay and play. The golf at the Green course was enjoyable but the Gold course was stunning! Everyone at both courses were incredibly courteous and helpful, I mean everyone! The ladies at the check-in at the Inn were so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The last night we treated ourselves to dinner at the Inn in the Rockefeller Room, the food was amazing and did not disappoint. Staying consistent to our overall experience all of the staff were pleasant and professional, however the cherry on top was our server, Sharon. Sharon was delightful, she shared in a few laughs and made our dining experience complete! Thank you all so much for a great holiday, Jeff and Kelly Weis

Over priced for just a dated and musty smelling room. It is large but needs lots of repairs. Close to CW historic area but for the price you can do better. No restaurants on the property or pool you have to walk or drive to another hotel.

I stayed here with 3 other friends, 2 in one room, 2 in another. The staff were welcoming and the location was great but the condition of the room was sub-par for the price we paid. The worst part was the filthy stained sofa that I would not, could not touch, let alone sit on. The carpet looked dirty, glad I brought slippers. The ironing board was broken, the bathroom lighting was dim. The light above the shower was not working and then 1 of the two 40-watt light bulbs burned out. Even with both working it was too dark. The drain in the tub didn’t work-only way to get it to drain was to hold the lever open. Brass fixtures were elegant but tarnished and soap scummed. Popcorn ceiling held on to ceiling dust bunnies right above my bed. Room was big and the bed was comfortable though.

I did not get the room that I reserved.. It made for a very unpleasant stay. There are absolutely no amenities on site. It is quite a long walk to get to anything. The grounds are beautiful and that was definitely the best part of my stay.

We enjoyed a very large room with a lovely bathroom as well as a separate sink area. It was perfect for a week's visit in Williamsburg. Great location and access to the concierge at the Williamsburg Inn.

We stayed at the Griffin Hotel in Colonial Williamsburg and our trip was amazing. Check in was so easy and staff provided plenty of details on what was included and where to find amenities. The location was beautiful and so peaceful. Staff at the hotel was phenomenal. We had servers remember our names after just one visit. Julie at Sweet Tea and Barley and Olin at Traditions went above and beyond in their service and in making us feel welcome. We will definitely be back to visit.

We had a fabulous stay at the Griffin! Loved the patio door: walked my dog, listened to the rain, viewed the pond water feature. This is such a calming and relaxing hotel. It is a bit dated but feels like staying at grandma’s house, a bit older but really quality pieces. Very clean!! So close to the village and the college. Will definitely be staying here again!

For adults, touring CW on a get away weekend, there couldn’t be a better location. The grounds are stunning and the Griffin is a good compromise price wise when compared to the Inn, itself. The rooms are extremely spacious. Keep in mind the Griffin is a separate building from the Inn, where you check in, but there is no onsite staff so you’re on your own schlepping luggage and there are no elevators. (I’m not sure if we were offered any assistance at checkin or not.) overall, I’d go back for sure!!
