Very comfortable stay. Clean and updated hotel with good staff. Like most places, they seem to be short on housekeepers. But a little patience goes a long way. Breakfast was the average self service hotel food. I would definitely stay gain.

The staff and accommodations were great!! We enjoyed the hot tub/whirlpool after soo PPI ending the days traveling to and walking through Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed the recommended local dining establishments as well. Close to what we came to see.

The room was very clean and smells good. Very friendly staff with answers any questions you we had before we got there and after as well. Nice pool area, but what made it the best was the food in the bar inside the hotel itself. I would bgo back soon.

From the moment we walked into the lobby and my husband said, “We are here to check in,” and Jan responded with “Oh, I thought you were here to hang out with us.” I knew we were in for a treat. We were not disappointed. Even though there was a small glitch with our reservation, Jan and Nadia resolved it with efficiency and humor. They were exceptionally personable and attentive. As a guest, I felt as though I mattered. The evening was highlighted by Justin who single handedly ran the bar and restaurant. He mixed drinks, took food orders, waited on patrons, and bused tables all with a smile and welcoming demeanor. The hotel was hosting a conference of approximately 100 people, so despite being mid-January it was very busy. David Smith (the GM) has done a marvelous job hiring this exceptional staff. The rooms were clean and updated (tile, granite, lighting etc.). The location is excellent. If you find yourself near Williamsburg, I would recommend a stay at the Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway.…

I can’t see enough good things about this hotel. I was in Williamsburg house hunting and needed a decent place to stay for 2 nights over the MLK weekend. I have traveled extensively for business all over the world and have rarely stayed at a Holiday Inn. I was amazed by this hotel! Very friendly staff, absolutely spotlessly clean room, excellent buffet breakfast and great location. I had thought that the hotel was brand new but I was informed that it is 16 years old and goes through constant renovations and updating. In fact the mattresses in our room was brand new. In a time when so many hotel reviews say that the rooms need updating or that housekeeping was poor I was VERY happy to have stayed at this Holiday Inn. Congratulations to the hotelier and his splendid staff.

This wonderful property consistently exceeds my family's expectations with each visit! As a native to Williamsburg, this is the only place we will stay when we come to town and the place that we refer all of our friends/family to stay! The property is immaculately clean - from the parking lot to the room and everywhere in-between it is obvious that the staff take pride in their hotel. The location is safe, conveniently located to the area attractions and several eatery's nearby. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and is staffed with lovely folks full of smiles. Our family has been visiting this property for years, and every interaction with the staff has been pleasant. The front desk staff, housekeepers, GM, and even the maintenance folks go out of their way to speak and make you feel welcome. Oh, and the pillows! The pillows are AMAZING! It was our first time in Williamsburg and this hotel made our trip so comfortable. Nothing to complain about here. Our reservation room type did not transfer properly to the hotel system from TripAdvisor but this hiccup was quickly rectified by Intan at the front desk. Barbara and the Chef also went over and beyond to ensure a satisfactory experience with our meals. Overall every staff encounter was pleasant and they were eager to please and ensured we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, the bathrooms and rooms have many nice updates, and we felt safe. We will be staying here again next time we visit Williamsburg. Thanks to the entire staff for a memorable stay.

We arrived early on Friday evening. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately by Jan. I cannot say enough about how kind, helpful and funny she was. Check in was quick and easy. Jan was also very helpful with great places to eat dinner. Our room was clean and roomy. Water was nice and hot and the beds were so cozy and comfortable. Every single staff member we came in contact with had a smile and greeted us warmly. We would definitely stay here again.
