We always have a good time at this resort. It's clean, has a nice pool, tennis courts, and more. They have arranged daily activities that are very nice. Now my complaint...We had two 2br units (one for us and one for relatives) for a week. Our relatives had to leave 2 days early which meant we had one car for 2 units. On Thurs night, when we got in from Busch gardens, we had to park about 6 buildings down from ours. There are 4 condos per building and again, we had two in ours. They need to start assigning one parking spot per condo, then any extra in that area can be left for those with more than one car. We have stayed in resorts that paint the unit number on the parking spots close to the units then extras are left blank or say unassigned. They need to do something like this. We have stayed here about 5 times and this has been a smaller problem for us in the past cause we are normally early birds, but now I see why I have seen other complaints about this.

Exchanged a timeshare for plantation. While it was a good distance to go to/from Norfolk and Va Beach, the drive was never too bad. Room (2 BR/2 BA) was very clean. But the color scheme was outdated. It needs painted etc. We’d stay there again because of the cleanliness and good working condition of AC, nice beds etc

Nice Area, nice resort. Lots to do. Very clean -the pool was a little to cold for me. The staff was very nice and it is my understanding that each building has a washer and dryer where you can do cloths and your towels. This is very nice.

Some interesting reviews about this place from people who perhaps haven't read about the property before booking. We had and found it to be everything that we wanted. We had a two bedroomed apartment on the ground floor, each having an en-suite. There was a full kitchen and plenty of storage space for our needs. A safe in one of the bedrooms, but could have been better placed as difficult to access if people going in/out of the room. Lots of parking outside. The living room/dining area was all open plan, and there was a patio outside if you wished to commune with nature. We did have some grey squirrels come up and look in through the window from time to time which was lovely to see. The inside was a little gloomy and could do with some more natural light, but as we were not in there much (out touring) it didn't affect us too much. There was a couple above us for part of our stay who sounded like elephants when walking around. Not sure if they were really flat footed or if the sound did travel that much. The reception area and staff was welcoming and alway swilling to help. they warned us of some works being done outside of the main gates which could have caused disruption. It did on one evening as the electricity went off for a short while. There is a pool which is fairly small for the number of apartments but as it was too hot to stay out much we didn't venture there. There is no restaurant on site or bar area. This is mentioned in all their advertising/information so be aware. The place however is quiet and located in an area where you are no farther than 10 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg or any other part of Williamsburg. It is a fantastic hub to tour the area from and providing you don't want all the trappings of a 'hotel type resort' it is perfect.

Thanks for choosing to stay at our resort this year. We are sorry for any issues you had. Even though we do not have a restaurant on site, there are a variety of restaurants in the nearby area. At least, you liked our amenities and spacious accommodations. We hope to make it up to you on your next visit here.
