I love the Williamsburg area. So much so that I bought a timeshare here. The amenities are very good. The resort is very close to all of the Colonial Williamsburg attractions, but still quiet, so you don't get all of the noise that you might find in a hotel.

We had a very nice visit off season, last week of January. The staff at checking was pleasant and helpful with some of our dining choices....the places were really good. It was super quiet at the pool and hot tub, which is why we travel off season. The weather was good

We take accusations like this very seriously. If you had the room number, we would be able to do an investigation on the suite. However, at this time there have been no report of bedbugs at The Colonies at Williamsburg.

Is outdoor pool still open?
I would think that the outside pool be closing end of September, if the weather drops like elsewhere near.
