The hotel is located very close to Colonial Williamsburg, so that was good. The rooms were just okay, and could have been cleaner, and better stocked with towels. The air conditioner in our room was incredibly noisy, but when it wasn't running, our rooms was so hot. The staff seems a bit indifferent to the guests.
Matt at check in was extremely helpful. The place was comfortable and clean. Parking was as convenient as could be expected. They had plenty of luggage carts. There is a lot of things to do close to the resort. Also, several good places to eat are nearby. No washing machine in our room but a free one was in the entry way shared by one other room.
While I understand owners or other possibly priority members get first choice of the 2 bedrooms units, our unit was a dump and not as advertised. In the “sales presentation” we were shown a much nicer unit. We feel it was “bait & switch” operation. It was advertised that we would have washer & dryer in the 2 bedroom unit..nada and the kitchen was only a galley for this 2 bedroom unit. We were not given much information about the property as guests. At check in we were not told there would be no cleaning for the two week stay. We asked for clean towels and we’re old they would deliver them…we never received them. We had to go to the front desk for more all soaps, paper towels, TP, and on and on. With the level of the unit’s amenities and over lack of any services, we feel we totally wasted our trade weeks on this property. We voiced our disappointment to the sales manager during the sales talk and never received any response and assured him that I would reflect my experiences and disappointment in any and all reviews of the property.…
We had a timeshare and stayed last week. The units are smaller than many, but I was able to maneuver with my walker and scooter (A bit tight in the master bedroom). The location is simply right near the center of everything. The indoor pool was enjoyed by my son and his friends. There were lots of plugs available for all devices. The doors are all manual and they are a bit heavy for getting inside. We had a mini kitchen but it was fine for all meals we had in house. As is typical you must call resort ahead to procure handicapped units of walk in showers. BTW the walk in showers had about a 3 inch lip. Great stay. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is no washing/dryer machines in units.
Pros: *Brandy very nice at front desk and so accommodating. Jim the manager fixed our issue in a timely manner. *LOCATION!!! We walked to Colonial Williamsburg from our Condo. We were 7 minutes from Busch Gardens- so convenient! We rode our bikes all around the area. *Building Unit 3000 was nice. We were in a 2 bedroom style. It was clean and roomy. *Nice Heated Pool enclosed indoors. *Staff and grounds people are friendly. *Plenty of parking available and it’s free *Beds were comfortable. Cons: *Building 1000 needs a lot of love. It could use some updating as well. *Game room, only a ping pong table and a foosball table with a few board games. *Walls are thin. We heard our next door neighbor snoring at night. We could hear people talking and moving around in the mornings. Even with the cons, we were happy and would stay here again.…
Upon check-in we were told that the wireless internet and the pool were closed with no idea when either would be operating. After several complaints and continued questions we were finally told that someone had hit a utility pole that had caused a surge and burned out some components of both the pool pumping system and the wireless network. Had this been communicated at check-in rather than after continuous questioning, it would have made things a lot smoother. This was more of a hotel than a resort, interior doors off a long hallway with a single, hotel sized lobby. Amenities were also the same as you might find in an upscale resort with the exception of maybe the game room. Most of the staff did not interact with those passing through the lobby with the exception of one young lady by the name of Sang. The room was nice, though the dining table was way too big for the size of the room. 4 person max sleeping in the room, six seat oversized table. It was hard to move around in the kitchen area. I was also a bit disappointed with the list of things that were requested upon checkout. 1. Put all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and rub it. 2. Put all the towels in the laundry basket. 3. Strip the bedding and pillow cases and put in the laundry basket. 4. Take all the trash out. I don't have to do that in a hotel that costs a whole lot less, but a resort wants it done. This isn't a practice across all Bluegreen resorts. I wish they would standardize all of their locations. We stayed in both of their resorts in Williamsburg and policies were different in both. I generally put the towels in a pile wherever I stay, but I don't ever strip the bedding. I have no issues with dishes in the dishwasher, but I would think that they would want their housekeeping staff to make sure ALL of the dishes were washed and clean, not just the ones I say that I used. If I clean the room before I leave, there sure isn't much for their staff to do. Maybe I'll just stay in a hotel next time. I'll probably choose the other Bluegreen resort over this one if I'm ever in this area again. …
We are Platinum Bluegreen owners. We have stayed in the newer building at Patrick Henry Square multiple times but never had such poor cell and Wi-Fi service as we did on this visit. We had to go outside to use our cell phones and even then reception was poor. Our two-bedroom unit was very clean, beds were comfortable with premium linens and the shower is extremely nice and very large. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with most of what you would need. There was a second bath in the hall across from the guest bedroom. There was a washer and dryer inside the unit. Overall service was excellent. We had an appointment for our owner review with the person of our choice but at the last minute this did not happen. We offered to wait until our representative was available but we were told we had to request a certain member of staff in advance. We had done this! It seems every time we go for a review we are told something different by every one and most often feel pressured by them to purchase more points. We are at the Platinum level and have no intention or need to own more points. It seems this is a problem that needs to be addressed by corporate.…
Good: Great location, walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg, close to other attractions. Nice indoor pool. Comfortable bed. Great wi-fi. Not-so-much: Floors, appliances, furniture, dishes, not very clean. Toilet seats only one foot off the floor? Uncomfortable couch. Cellular service terrible.
This property is walking distance to colonial Williamsburg. The rooms are great with full kitchen and fireplace. The view out the windows wasn’t that great. We were able to walk every place we wanted to go.
Another great BlueGreen property that is centrally locates in downtown Williamsburg. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath accommodation with full kitchen and laundry is terrific. Everything is clean and neat and much care has been taken to keep everyone safe. An indoor pool and exercise room are on site too.
