All of the staff are fantastic and the rooms were much better than we expected for such a low price! We were within walking distance to Colonial and they offer discounts on tickets to Colonial, PLUS you get discounts at the Colonial shops! The pool is beautiful at night! Breakfast options consisted of pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk,... More

My biggest talking point is the service. Above average from my experience. My wife and I arrived hours early and not only were we checked right in but the girl helping us (and I wish I could point out her name as she was exceptional but I do not remember!) went out of her way to talk about the area... Okay, this isn't the Ritz but it is a perfectly great property especially for the price and location. You can walk to Colonial Williamsburg and you aren't in the rat race of the other side of town. It is really cheap or should I say great 'value for money' especially considering the other hotels we were looking at were $180... More

If you are going to stay Williamsburg and on a budget this is your place. Close to everything. Clean, good pool and can't beat the price. Most rooms connect so for a big family it works well. Nice free Breakfast with plenty of seating. Tip, go upstairs at breakfast. there are more tables and sometimes when busy enough another food... More

If all you really want out of a hotel is a good price and some conveniences, then the Governor's Inn is for you! The staff were friendly upon check-in, we were early, and even though the room wasn't ready, they let us check our luggage so we could walk into town. The rooms are pretty standard, if you've been in... More

This is essentially a large motel just a few blocks from Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary. Rooms are a decent size, quiet, very clean and the beds were comfortable. The swimming pool was large and also clean (not a guaranteed thing on a Sunday evening). Check in was quick and friendly. Don't expect a romantic or... More

We booked a room here because of the great reviews. The "hotel" is really a motel . The room is dirty, mold in the bathroom, floors are filthy and the beds are hard and uncomfortable. Because of the super reasonable price it attacts the " best" of 'merica!! The free breakfast is stale donuts, english muffins, bagels and cereal. The... More

Fantastic location. Walking distance from the sites. The hotel is dated and by no means fancy but the staff were fantastic and the pool was big and very clean. It is outdoor and the weather was ridiculously hot so we spent a lot of time there. The only issue was that the breakfast area was not very well kept. The... More

Have stayed here off and on since 2009. Very clean and great location. First time ever had 4 men in room a few doors down from my room and every night hanging out on balcony on cell phone no shirt on and one night with only towel wrapped around waist. Very uncomfortable. I know temp workers hired at CW in... More

Locate just two blocks from Merchants Square the hotel is an easy walk to the historic area. At $55 a night what's not to like. The room was clean and well kept. The pool and grounds were exactly the way you would expect them to be in a Colonial Williamsburg Foundation hotel neat and tidy. The room came with free... More
