I have nothing but positive things to say. I like the fact the room had a sanitation seal. There is plenty of parking spaces, the staff was cordial and helpful when asking about restaurants and activities in the area, the room was clean and comfortable, and it is a close walk or drive to a lot of stuff. I would stay here again.
House keeping and other staff are not wearing masks or gloves. Night staff is rude and have no idea about hospitality. Will not be coming back there are better options in the area. Carpets are disgusting, the smell of weed in the hallways every single night of my stay here.
The hotel is still under renovation so a few areas are blocked. The rooms will be renovated during the next phase but all rooms were ‘freshened’ with newer items. Odd number rooms face the parking lot, even number rooms face the pool. Check in was easy, hand sanitizer everywhere in the lobby. Limited people in the elevator (though some parties decided to ignore that). We did not eat onsite so cannot comment. My daughter forgot her toothbrush and they offered us one for free from the front desk. Our biggest reason for staying here was the Tesla charging stations and the proximity to Busch Garden. There are 2 dedicated Tesla Destination chargers, free for hotel guests. They also have a handful of other electric chargers. All in all, I felt the hotel was clean by new Covid standards and the staff pleasant.…
Lysol sanitized sticker seals on the room entrance doors may bring confidence during Covid of a clean room, dirty construction elevators and old milkshake left in my room with torn ceiling drywall and peeling wallpaper covered in white finger/palm prints do not. I left after the second room and lackluster care from the lone soul at the front desk. Worst experience at a doubletree ever. The cookie was delicious. I’m waiting to see if they charged me to cancel because I didn’t receive much from the front desk person, she was dealing with another lady with a broken toilet and no room phone though. Crazy!
I stopped in Williamsburg for the night and stayed here. Check in was good and they let us know what was open and what time everything closed because of the Colvid. They give you cookies at check in. The walk to get to the room was very far. If you have problems walking, make sure you get a close room. Only 1 elevator was working. The room was clean. One of the reasons I picked this place is because of their precautions they take due to the Colvid. They clean and leave the room vacant for at least 24 hours. They have a breakfast buffet that costs $12. You just tell them what you want and they put it on a plate for you. I would stay here again
