Husband has one leg and we are elderly. Given a room so far from the elevator one could get lost. (150 yards) Plus there were three ramps requiring us to push our luggage up an incline! This is a ghetto Doubletree. The carpets all over this huge hotel are rank. The smell is rank. Everything is wornout and tattered and the staff are slack and unprofessional. I am here for a rewards program stay for an agreed price. So i check my emails after check in and dinner and they have emailed me a check in confirmation with double the price. The desk stated our card had not been charged and it had been done by the vacation crew, and I pointed out this confirmation had our check in time and they did not know that. She apologised and said I don't know where that came from. I thought Doubletree was a luxury experience. I feel as though I have been taken advantage of. This experience has finished me for Hilton.…
If the rating scale was higher my review would be so as well. From the outstanding service to the amenities, this hotel is one of the best. Although we didn’t stay there for its proximity to Busch Gardens, this hotel is just outside the entrance to the park.
The commode was too low. Bathroom too small. Inadequate outlets in room. Pool too cool and no hot tub. When checking out person did not acknowledge us. Room clean and beds good. Building nice but rooms need renovation
This beautiful, spotless hotel has spacious rooms and an exceptionally friendly staff. Rooms are very well appointed with fridges, coffee makers and hair dryers. There is also a restaurant on site. You cannot beat the location, as it is right around the corner from Busch Gardens and across the street from numerous restaurants. We won't stay anywhere else when visiting Williamsburg.
Given stay at Double Tree…They are updating the hotel, painting the lobby 😊. Given a room with two double Queen beds. Ok but 6th floor had no microwaves on either end of floor & ice maker was broken. The dresser had separate side for fridge. Quite worn on inside. Nice outdoor and indoor pools. Front desk was gave us cookies when we asked. As we were given complimentary room, would have loved a room with balcony. Hotel seemed far from full. Staff very friendly!
One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in over 10yrs. The lobby is the best part but the rooms are 2 star at best. Nice staff but garbage establishment. They charge you for complimentary breakfast, $20 (eggs, bacon, potatoes) need I say more?
Location is good. Room was clean and orderly. Bed very comfortable. Did experience some noise from kids in room next door. Thankfully they quieted down at 10 pm. $10 parking fee is ridiculous. Check-in and check-out reception was cordial. Did I mention $10 parking fee for a huge parking lot?
This is really a nice property! Starting with Yasmeen and Luis at the Front Desk, they went above and beyond with great customer service to make our stay enjoyable. The pool was so clean and property well kept..very relaxing! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet...food selection was good and the waitress Thelma made sure you didn't want for anything. I have read some negativity about the rooms are outdated. Yes they are in need of updating. This hotel is in the process of refurbishing. People forget it takes time! Our room had a super comfy bed, great lighting, plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the shower, along with plenty of towels. What more can you ask for. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 rating is because of housekeeping. Housekeeping is not the best! I think it is a 3rd party contracted out housekeeping. They need to do a better cleaning. Over all...perfect 4 days! Thank you Yasmeen, Luis and Thelma for adding to our nice stay! We will be back!…
The room was clean. It had the typical amenities. Small microwave, mini fridge, tiny coffee maker. Which had two complimentary coffees but no tea. We had a room with two queens. The night stand had two drawers and there was a chest of drawer with additional three drawers and housed the mini fridge. The microwave was located on top of the writing desk. Besides the writing desk chair there was a lounger. The location also had a small indoor/outdoor pool. Not a separate pool just one that was indoor with an opening that led to the outdoor pool. I thought purpose of an indoor pool was to make it available during inclement weather but maybe it can be closed off? 2 restaurants onsite. One offers a breakfast buffet and then lunch the other serves dinner and has a bar. Both have limited food offerings but fortunately many good restaurants are located near by. Overall not a bad place to stay and is minutes from the Amusement and water park.…
This hotel is by far from what it seems . No room service or shuttle due to covid. When my fiancé and I checked in we were checked into room 111 and it was as if the room was going under renovations? Broken air conditioning units , holes in the walls, and EXPOSED wire from an outlet! We were moved to a different room after the last straw when our tv wasn’t working. But still… very far from the Hilton experience that I am most loyal and use to
