The refrigerator had mold inside (was closed, off and need plugged in when we arrived). The bathtub also had mold. At check In, sign stated continental breakfast and truly was, if that. They had waffles, cold cereals, hot sausage patties and apples that appeared weeks old.Only eggs were cold hard boils in shell, coffee was via a pushbutton machine and terrible, cream supplied was curdled. (old and/or not refrigerated). the little debbies like swirl rolls were stale. both me and my wife had facial bug bites in the morning.
It was ok but was very disappointed since they are affiliated with Wyndham Destinations. I expected it to be cleaner no damage on the walls especially from water damage. Need to have an ice machine on each floor not just the ground floor. More breakfast items should be offered,
I booked a 5 night stay in September. My arrival was delayed by one night due to Hurricane Dorian - I called to say that I didn't want to cancel my booking but that I would not be a no show, as I was simply arriving the following day. The person I spoke to on the phone didn't seem to understand what I meant but said okay and I hoped for the best. When I arrived I was checked in by the manager who was very welcoming and allocated me a room with a king bed as he had one available (I'd booked a cheaper room). When I got to the room it was simply decorated after a recent refurbishment but was clean and as expected based on the type of accommodation this hotel is advertised as. The major problem was that despite it being a no smoking hotel there had been someone smoking in the room prior to my stay and I headed back to the reception to ask to change room as the smell was awful. The manager apologised profusely and personally came to find a room that was better for me. We tried a new one and he instantly said that it was worse and that it would be dealt with. The next room was absolutely fine! He helped me move my bags to the new room and offered to get me a coffee if I needed one. The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was clean, as was the separate sink area. There was a decent hair dryer too. There was a fridge in the room which was obviously cleaned out between stays and a coffee maker and the coffee provided was nice enough! The room I stayed in had a desk and office chair (which was actually extremely comfortable!) rather than a sofa and coffee table that some of the other rooms have. I'm sure the staff would be accommodating in helping if it didn't meet your needs. AC was easy to use - It isn't silent but I didn't find the noise bothersome. Television had a wide variety of channels. Closet contained a safe, ironing board etc. Wifi was free and adequate for everything I used it for. I had a room facing the parking lot and it was very quiet at night - even as a foreign solo female traveller I felt safe and comfortable. Location is decent, there are plenty of places to walk to nearby to eat, shop and be entertained - Adventure golf across the road was a lot of fun! $7 Uber, $8 early morning taxi from hotel to the train and bus station. Breakfast was nice, typical continental style but with the added bonus of sausage, fresh hard boiled eggs and make your own waffles. Every day I arrived towards the end of breakfast and there was still enough of everything to have, nothing ran out. The staff were pleasant each morning and made time to say hello, which was nice. The pool area was nice and it was clean although I got there and there were no towels left in the box (not a big deal really). Water was a bit chilly but I did swim in the evening when it had cooled down. In the heat of the day I think it would be perfect. My one disappointment with the property was that despite being advertised as a 24 hour reception, for at least the final night of my stay this was not the case. I had to check out at 4am in order to catch a train but the reception was locked and an emergency number provided. I called the hotel later in the morning to confirm that I had left but the person I spoke to on the phone couldn't seem to find my name on the computer system to check me out so just said she'd try to do it later - again I just hoped for the best! My take away: - You get what you pay for, this is a budget hotel but it does the job just fine! - Cost seemed appropriate. - In person staff are extremely helpful (the manager was brilliant), on the phone there seems to be some level of confusion. - A nice enough place to stay for the price. - I would return…
Pros- fridge and microwave in the room. Good breakfast. Kids had fun in the pool and tv channels were abundant. We got some good sleep and pillows were so comfortable! Cons- we checked in and the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned thoroughly. Good thing I brought my own Clorox wipes!! Also we were given the impression the property was all non smoking but cig butts were everywhere and you could see the management smoking on their patio
Very expensive compared to what it is worth. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was dirty (dirt on floor, etc). Water in shower never got very hot and the shower curtain was old. Check in was easy and the breakfast was typical. I would not stay there again. It looks as if they tried to update the motel but it was not successful.
