My husband and I stayed two nights last week and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Cider House. Views in every direction were of beautiful rolling hills and farmland. Our room was lovely, comfortable and we felt we were cut off from any external noises. The peace and tranquility of the inn and property were wonderful! Melinda is the consummate host and she provided an amazing breakfast each morning and was so interesting as well as accommodating. We were so fortunate to be able to share our stay with two other wonderful couples and our time spent chatting and sharing stories with them added so much to our lovely stay! Even though the inn is located in the most bucolic setting in the country, it was a short drive to a variety of restaurants and an easy drive to Shenandoah National Park. As an added perk, Melinda had a wonderful variety of local wines and beers available at cost. Finally, don't forget to take a stroll to visit with Melinda's alpacas and donkeys out back! Thank you, Melinda, for a lovely time!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Cider House Bed and Breakfast in Waynesboro, VA. Perfectly located in the Shenandoah Valley, this was a great landing spot at the end of a day of hiking, shopping or imbibing in one of the many wineries, breweries, or cideries available within a short drive. Our beautiful room - the Coyner - had a private balcony where we could take in the pastoral views in the mornings and evenings as we listened to the birds and the neighboring horses. The alpacas and donkeys were quite entertaining to watch and if you were lucky, they would come to the fence for a handful of feed. The public sitting room/dining space was beautiful and would be the perfect spot to relax if the weather kept you inside. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were always available to the early riser or someone needing a hot drink to warm up on an unseasonably cool summer evening. Sweet treats were available and there were gluten free options available. Melinda, our host and the proprietor, was gracious and made the stay amazing. From the moment we entered this beautiful house, she made us feel welcome and at home. She provided delicious breakfasts with locally sourced goods and homegrown produce. (We were able to eat outside and take in the views of the gardens and animals while enjoying the glorious weather.) Melinda provided great information about the history of the house and local places to visit, as well. We highly recommend a stay at Cider House. We will definitely make a return visit!

This B&B is located outside of Waynesboro, VA. My husband and I stayed here while we were at the Waynesboro Fall Foliage Festival. Melinda is a wonderful host…we had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts, snacks and beautiful furnishings make this place a great place to stay. (The house dates back to the 1700s). And then, Melinda tells you that you can feed and pet the donkeys, llamas and sheep. The sheep greeted us when we parked. It doesn’t get much better than this!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Peaceful location, clean & comfortable accommodations. So fun to feed some of the animals & even better see the new babies as well. We were served a delicious breakfast of fruit, yogurt, muffins, sausages & pancakes. Coffee & snacks were available at all times. We would highly recommend.

I just spent a wonderful weekend staying at the Cider House B&B! Melinda is a gracious, warm, and very accommodating host. She is a fantastic cook, serving diverse, delicious breakfasts in the beautiful dining area, as well as, outside, and is very engaging and interesting to speak with. There is always an array of home baked goodies, snacks, and tea and coffee available during the day and evening. The Holler Room was beautifully appointed, very comfortable, and the views from each window pastoral. My daughter and her family, who were staying nearby, came to pick me up at the B&B, and Melinda was so gracious to take them to see, feed, and explain about her alpacas, very friendly donkeys, and even to see the asparagus growing in her garden. All in all, a wonderful, enjoyable, and relaxing stay!!

Spent the night as a couple while dropping off a child at a nearby college. This is a small but very nice B & B close to Charlottesville, but also in the country and suitable for anyone visiting the Shenandoah Valley for a getaway weekend or longer vacation. This is a historic house on a 20 acre farm with its own animals (donkeys and Alpacas), so its own petting zoo for families with children. We liked the countryside location and small size during the pandemic (two suites, plus one bedroom with bathroom en suite), but will happily return in better times too.

Cider House Bed and Breakfast was absolutely idyllic. We stayed in the Coyner Suite with a long outdoor balcony overlooking the farm. Gorgeous and relaxing place. Melinda, the innkeeper, was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and everything was perfectly in order at the house. Breakfasts were delicious and the animals on the property were sweet and adorable. We had a lovely time.

The Cider House is so incredibly charming! Melinda has restored or updated the inn so it has all the character of a historical house, and top end creature comforts that make this a B&B that we just wanted to hang around in. We purchased the cook out package and could not have enjoyed it more. Although Waynesboro and Staunton have plenty of fine restaurants to explore, we just enjoyed hanging out in the garden and grilling a couple of burgers. It’s a fun package! Melinda’s breakfasts were top notch. We stayed two nights in the Coyner room, but could have stayed a month and never tired of it. We are already scouring our calendar to see when we can get back to the Cider House.

The Ciderhouse website is showing you exactly how beautiful and peaceful a B&B can be in this picturesque Virginia area. Very recently renovated the room is fantastic, we had our own sitting room where I had coffee before the main breakfast each morning. Each breakfast item is locally sourced and totally delicious. Donkeys and alpacas are on the farm to go visit as well. A great selection of local Virginia wines are also featured and the proprietor’s knowledge of everything local is just great. Definitely planning a return visit, the only return visit I will ever have at a B&B.

We spent 2 amazing days using Cider House as our headquarters to explore both Skyline Drive and The Blue Ridge Mtns, which were a 15 mins drive from there. The owner, Melinda, greeted us at the door wearing her mask (we wore ours). She showed up to the Coyne Suite and its private balcony overlooking her farm, alpacas and gorgeous mountain views. Each morning, we dined on homemade banana bread, local jellies and honey, frittatas, local sausage. After a day hiking/siteseeing, we would pop into one of the many local craft breweries for a refresher. Then, we would rush back so to see the sunset over the peaks. Oh, and The Bronte sisters greeted us each morning (Ask about them!).
