The Iris Inn is a small B&B outside Waynesboro, VA with an amazing combination of a great location, beautiful setting, great rooms and a staff that is obviously glad you are staying there. I was on a bicycle trip through the Northern Shenandoah Valley and we stayed at the Iris Inn. My room, the Deer Room, was on the second... More

We wanted a few days in the mountains. What a perfect place. They allowed us to bring the dog. Tomorrow they will pack us a picnic lunch and we will head out to explore the Shenandoah Valley. Our cottage is huge, two levels, outdoor decks, and all the comforts of home. Off to the great room for wine at 5:30.

We stayed 8 nights and still was not ready to leave. The Iris Inn is so beautiful nestled in the mountains and so convenient to everything - good restaurants, the wineries, the blue ridge parkway and the skyline drive. We were so excited to come to the Iris Inn when we read all the reviews and we were not disappointed.... More

Just returned from a weekend in VA, celebrated our 5th anniversary at the Iris (cabin 6). The cabin was clean, modern, and stylish. The cabins are built into a steep hillside, so the decks are elevated to treetop level-- feels like a you are having your morning coffee (or soaking at night in the hot tub) in a treehouse! Each... My husband and I recently spent two nights in Cabin #6 at the Iris Inn to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We found the cabin to be luxurious and well appointed. We even commented to each other that a lot of thought went into the design and that if we got rid of a lot of our "stuff" we would be... More

What a Fantastic Bed and Breakfast! Just Gorgeous! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, from the minute I called to make my reservation to end of our weekend. My wife and I stayed in Cabin 4 but it’s like no other “Cabin” we have stayed in. This cabin is its own private luxury apartment. No expense was spared... More

Stayed here for a honeymoon. Great location and fantastic place. Stayed in cabin 4 which seems to have the best view. The cabin was so well designed and fancy! Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts were great, as was the free wine and cheese! Hope to come back again one day!

In a woodsy environment high enough on a mountain to provide great vistas. Modern pretty hotel-like main building with spacious upscale rooms. But the 6 self-contained cabins on stilts built into the side of the mountain within the trees are the stars of this setting. Thoughtful & creative designers included practically every high end amenity. A screened-in porch had a... More

We have stayed twice and love the cabins with the private hot tubs and amazing views. This place is super cool and worth the trip for night away. The innkeepers and staff are great, too. Definitely recommend a visit!

We stayed here while exploring wineries in Nelson County and attending a performance at the American Shakespeare Center (amazing!) in Staunton. Beautiful setting - we especially enjoyed having breakfast on the back porch. The innkeepers are delightful and made every effort to ensure a pleasant stay. The cabins and cottages are very private and comfortable and have wonderful views.
