I can't say enough wonderful things about the Iris Inn, the owners (Dave and Heidi) and the staff. My husband booked us a surprise anniversary weekend at the Iris Inn. Every detail was perfect and managed perfectly by the staff. He worked with them to get an anniversary cake,

Whew! So happy to hear we were able to pull off the surprise vow renewal. It was such a pleasure meeting, and getting to know, you and Matthew. After 11 years of ownership of the Iris Inn, I continue to love what I do because of moments like this and people like you. Thank you choosing the Iris Inn and for taking the time to review your experience. We hope you'll come back and see us. Take care, Dave Lanford Co-Owner, Iris Inn Bed & Breakfast

We enjoyed our visit and view. Alex was very friendly and made it feel like home. The breakfast food was delicious. The rooms were quiet and peaceful and clean. The only thing I would recommend is to have king size pillows. The surrounding area has a lot to offer. Kombucha

Thank you for your wonderful comments and for taking the time to share them. Alex is the newest addition to our staff and we couldn't be happier. He has many years of experience in the hospitality industry. With these comments we have no doubt he is just the perfect person for his position. Mother nature is so unpredictable, but we are glad to hear that you made the best out of your time with us. It's always a pleasure to share the knowledge we have about the area with all of our guests. On your next visit, be sure to consider the Wine Therapy Weekends. These weekends are a delightful way to mix summer and wine--all weekend long. Find the details on the Iris Inn website under the specials dropdown menu, then choose packages. We would be delighted to host you again and look forward to making your stay even more enjoyable. Heidi

Oh my, there are foodie restaurant options just 20 minutes from the Iris Inn! Zynodoa, in nearby Staunton, has a chef from the Inn at Little Washington. And Zynodoa offers outstanding service. The Shack, also in Staunton, has rave reviews from Southern Living, claiming the title of Best New Restaurant. The chef is a James Beard Semi-finalist Best Chef Mid-Atlantic, twice! Make your reservation at the Iris Inn and we will be happy help you choose your favorite foodie restaurant.

Close by is Staunton, Va. with its quaint and historic shops and restaurants. Very romantic in the evening light. There is also the Camera History Museum with its self guided audio tour, very interesting way to start your day. It's one of a kind in the world.
