We’ve stayed here four times and will continue to come back! Quiet, clean, friendly…. Just perfect! An easy walk to the Inn or a short drive to the Shenandoah Park entrance. Wonderful weekend stay.
If you're reading this review you might be considering an overnight stay in Washington, Virginia. And you've no doubt discovered that "Little" Washington has "big" prices. It ain't cheap. But I can assure you that the Gay Street Inn offers the best value of any overnight option in town--including AirBnB. Take it from a former resident of Rappahannock County and a guest at nearly all other hotels and BnBs in the immediate area- (including THE Inn!)--the Gay Street Inn delivers excellent value. Drew Beard is the consummate host--attentive but not intrusive. Our group of friends recently took all five rooms at the Gay Street Inn and every single one of us was so happy that we opted for the Gay Street Inn. Just two blocks from the Inn at Little Washington and PattyO's, we enjoyed all the quaint pleasures of the village without the staggering prices. Our rooms were immaculate, comfortable, quiet and beautifully furnished. All suites and bedrooms are en suite with modern, well designed bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious--the homemade granola is yummy! We especially appreciated how flexible Drew was with accommodating schedule requests. This is the best value in the village. Seriously.…
Our children gave us a gift certificate to the Gay Street Inn for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a great time and the accommodations were 5 Star. Drew met us when we checked in and was the Ultimate Host during our stay. The breakfast was so delicious!! We ate dinner at Patty Os, a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Highly recommend the Gay Street Inn! You won't be disappointed
We did a quick getaway to have dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. This was a perfect place to stay and only about a 5-minute walk to the restaurant. Room was very cute and comfortable and Drew was great. Keyless entry made it possible to just let our selves in when we got there and get settled. Drew helped with recommendations for things to do other than dinner and even made a special "to-go" breakfast because we had to depart before the regular breakfast. Butternut squash quiche was amazing. It was great to have a cocktail waiting in the room!
Loved Gay Street Inn!! The decor is lovely and Drew was a Fantastic Host! We could check in with the emailed key codes - there was nice lighting and music playing in the living room so we felt immediately welcomed when we came in. Our rooms were also key coded which is so handy! Great personal touch's in the rooms so you felt more like a guest in someone's home vs being in a hotel room. The bed and pillows were perfect which was a treat indeed! I'd mentioned I liked milk in my coffee and Drew made sure it was available in the morning - so appreciate that! Very cute town that is walking distance from the Inn - and delightful back yard to relax and read in. Overall a fantastic experience and we look forward to returning!
Drew is the epitome of what a B&B host should be and makes a stay at The Gay Street Inn very memorable. Rooms are spotless and well-appointed. Breakfast was off-the-charts great! Everything was done to make our stay "a cut above". We stayed for one night but plan to make a two-night trip in the future to take advantage of the Shenandoah National Park. If you're planning to dine at the Inn at Little Washington, you'll be so pleased with your decision to stay at The Gay Street Inn! HIGHLY recommend!!!!
From the delicious cocktails to the fantastic breakfast, from the lovely room to the restful backyard, Drew and Deb made it perfect for us! Enjoyed being able to walk to and from our dinner at The Inn at Little Washington and poking around stores in won. Many thanks and hope to be back soon, Rhonda and Bruce
Warm and cozy spacious rooms all with private baths. Drew is wonderful and super friendly. Great breakfast. Nice living room to hang with friends. Good location near Little Inn at Washington. Highly recommend and will come back!
What an awesome experience. We were made to feel welcome and at home from the minute we arrived. Fully stocked fridge with complimentary soft drinks, water and even cocktails! Anything that was required or requested was brought immediately! The home made breakfast was delicious. Would absolutely recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting to visit the area.
The bed and pillows were one of the most comfortable I have slept on! The blue room was very quiet, and the house was lovely. We also enjoyed the York peppermint patties that were available! We stayed there to enjoy the Inn of Little Washington.
