My wife and I stayed here when we traveled to dine at the Inn at Little Washington. It was a great choice at about 1/3rd the price of staying at the Inn itself. The rooms and amenities were fine, and there were some nice added "treats". When we returned from dinner, there was a bottle of Port and an assortment...

Yes, it’s a fabulous bed and breakfast, but allow me to barge past the usual accolades to address an important matter. I’ve been all over the world, drinking coffee in every imaginable way for fifty years, and I’m a personal friend of Juan Valdez. That is the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life.

We stayed at the Gay St. Inn on a Sunday evening; we were in the "Shenandoah Suite", which was spacious, well appointed and very clean. It had a refrigerator and small kitchenette, which was great. The Hosts, Wendy and Gary, were more than friendly and helpful, especially as they allowed us to check in a bit early so we could...

We went to eat at the Inn at Little Washington and stayed here. Lovely reception by the owners. They gave us tips on the menu and about the restaurant and little village. The room is spacious and clean for our purpose. I would definitely stay here again. And it's a 5 minute walk from the Inn - nice in any...

We recently spent a couple of days in Washington, VA and stayed at the Gay Street Inn, located at the end of a street in town, so no traffic noises to disturb us. Owners and hosts, Gary & Wendy, welcomed us warmly and provided us with the two rooms we requested. Both were spacious and comfortable and were as depicted...

We were very happy with our choice to stay at The Gay Street Inn. Innkeepers Wendy and Gary were gracious hosts, the house itself is lovely, it's in the perfect location to walk around Little Washington, and the breakfast was delicious. Our only slight complaint is that the bed was a tiny bit hard and squeaky.

Inn keepers a delight. Breakfast delicious. Only downside is the bed in the Shenandoah Suite is hard and squeaky. Overall a good experience. Walking distance from the Inn at Little Washington and much more affordable!!

My wife and I have stayed at numerous B&B's in the past. I would say this was definitely above average, but we have certainly stayed at better B&B's. The unfortunate thing is that the night before, we stayed at another B&B literally blocks away and that place BLEW us away (won't mention name. If you want to know which on,...

It's always disappointing when you do your best to ensure that every guest has a exceptional experience, and then read a review like this one. It's also difficult to learn that these particular guests had such a negative impression of the Gay Street Inn when so many others report a very different experience. From time to time, we get a...

We stayed here because we were dining at The Inn at Little Washington which is just a few minutes walk away. Gary and Wendy are absolutely charming hosts, who made us feel very welcome and at home. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, as was the bathroom attached. Everything was clean and sparkling, floors and furniture well-polished. Breakfast the next...

Staying at The Gay Street Inn was an absolutely wonderful experience. Gary and Wendy were very hospitable, the amenities in the room were great, and the views were breath-taking. There was a beautiful garden in the back and an absolutely delicious breakfast included with our stay. It was a short walk from everything, and Gary and Wendy knew all the...
