For my oldest son's birthday, 5 of us stated with hosts, Susan and Walt. The morning of our arrival, I called asking if they could accommodate an additional person. They were very gracious and prepared the family-size room for my youngest son. Susan and Walt also went out of their way to make us feel like family. They are full... More

We only got to stay one night at Fairlea but it was a very nice stay. Walt greeted us when we arrived and showed us the common areas, and where we would have breakfast the next morning. Then showed us our room and explained how various things worked and/or were located. We had selected one of their smaller rooms and... More

Don't think of staying any place else when you are in Washington. The views from the farm are beautiful and you get to commune with the sheep and donkeys. Our room was lovely with a wonderful bathroom. Susan and Walt were so nice to talk to and their hospitality was only surpassed by Susan's breakfast. Everything was delicious, homemade and... More

Lovely, charming B&B set in the picturesque and rolling hills of Virginia near the historic town of Little Washington. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with all necessary amenities. The hosts are wonderful with generous hospitality. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentiful with home made breads. It's hard to leave, but reassuring it's available for future repeat visits.... More

Sue and Walt are great hosts, who welcomed us into their charming home in Washington, VA. We stayed here one night to dine at the nearby Inn at Little Washington. I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay in the area. It is well maintained and the breakfast is superb. We enjoyed our stay and will be back... More

Loved our room with the canopy bed and the unbelievable shower! Each room is filled with beautiful antiques and the view out each window is breathtaking. Susan is an amazing hostess. We felt right at home. Her delicious breakfast was out of this world. Can't wait to return.

My 2 sisters and I had planned this trip for months and we were excited till we walked into the house. There was a musty smell and both my sisters were affected. We were disappointed with the unfriendly and unhelpful reaction of the owners. They would not move us into the empty room next to us without charging us for... More

There is and was no musty smell in the room. These guests arrived with an attitude and left with an attitude. There was no pleasing them. Fortunately, we don't get many guests like them. More

Susan and Walt are great hosts. The room was cozy and the breakfast was elaborately prepared deliciousness. They're very familiar with the Inn at Little Washington and happy to coach first time visitors on how to enjoy their dining experience there. We're definitely heading back.
