My husband booked a room for us at the Skyline Vineyard Inn for my 40th birthday. Our suite (the Old Rag Suite) was well-appointed, thoughtfully decorated, and spacious. The views were amazing. We couldn't help but want to sit and take it all in. Carl and Donna are great hosts. Their breakfast was delicious and we look forward to returning.
Beautiful home. Great bedrooms and several remarkable sitting areas. Bring friends and gather together or come as couple and find a comfortable space for yourselves. The hosts are warm and friendly. Breakfast is great. Don't miss going to their winery around the corner. They make great wine (I love the meritage, George) and they have curated wines from around the world. Just ask Carl, Donna, or Sam.
My husband and I really enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Skyline Vineyard Inn. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. There’s nothing better than to sit outside, relax and just enjoy the beautiful view. The inside of the house was not only organized and beautiful bit it was so relaxing. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
We went for one night in October and it was completely magical! Donna and Carl are wonderful and everything from the free cookies to the blankets they have to cuddle on the porch were fabulous. They also had great hiking recommendations. Views and sunset were unbeatable. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best quiches we’d ever had. They have an awesome speakeasy with a pool table in the basement (they encourage you to roam about the whole house — it’s huge and there’s a great backstory you should ask about). We stayed in the old rag suite and it was huge and beautifully done! Would absolutely recommend
We stayed here two nights when we were going to a festive meal at the Inn at Little Washington. It was perfect, They upgraded us from a charming room to a charming room with a balcony overlooking the magnificent hills. The hoteliers were gracious and helpful, the entire home just as one would hope at one of the best inns we've ever stayed in, over our 20 years of such travel. The breakfast was homemade, served on the porch overlooking the grounds. The best getaway you could find, and no need to pay for the room at the Inn.
