4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

It has been a while since doing a more backpacker style holiday - I must confess to be an addict to 5 star resorts these few years...however we decided on something new. Yes, the huts have no aircon, no hot water, no doors or windows (well they have heavy plastic blinds that remind me of on an old tent). But... More

This resort is an ideal place for people living nearby like Singapore for a 3 day getaway to relax and enjoy the sun. The people running it are very friendly and helpful. They will sort everything out for you from transportation (shuttle, boat, taxi) to food and accommodation. The resort is located at a small bay which has a fairly... More

Amazing resort that takes us back to the "kampong days" with sea, sun and human interaction! We were picked up at 6:30pm and reached the Mersing jetty at 9:30pm, waited an hour for the ferry transfer and reached the resort at 11am. Greeted by Karly and Cat before heading to the bar for a club sandwich snack prepared by the... More

A stunning venue to relax alone or with friends or family. Fantastic food and lots of it. Accomodation on the beach. Get Padi qualified with John or Ash.. Go snorkelling with Nat...all very patient, friendly and incredibly professional. Have an amazing massage while listening to the waves crashing.. Then enjoy a drink at the bar, chat and watch the sunset.... More

Rimba Resort is not for the urban/city dwellers. Here's what to expect : A trip to the private beach on a motorboat (where we first met Ash, at Tanjung Leman jetty), where your first step on the island is in the water. Friendly staffs, right from the beginning of my enquiries where Cat, not the feline, handled the bookings well.... More

Amazing way to spend a weekend. We arrived late on a friday night in a group of 9 and the staff could not have been more accommodating! The huts are very basic, but as soon as you're used to it, its an amazing feeling. This island resort is aimed at great food, unbelievable staff, and having a really really good... More

We really enjoyed our stay there, clear blue water, basic but nice chalet, the staff were so friendly and they really made an effort to make you feel like home. The only thing that bothered us was the bugs, because the jungle is right behind so it's hard to avoid. If you are into nature, love to wake up with... More

We came here for 1 night after visiting Taman Negara & had a pitstop in Kuantan. Cat & team (sophie, Nat, Ash, Heather, Jenny etc) were all so friendly and make you feel at home the moment you step foot on the sand:) We had one of the beach front chalet (3 beds all covered with mosquito netting) - back... Staying in Singapore visiting my brother and his pregnant wife for two weeks - I thought I'd give them a break for a few days... I didn't just give them some qt together but gave myself a massive treat - Rimba was perfect. Was a bit daunted by the idea of 3 days on my own on an island.... And... More
