On a brief weekend visiting the area, we thought we'd give the Sun another try having not visited for a while. Well what a surprise - obviously new owners took over a few years ago and I fear we've missed out! Lovely welcoming log fire, good pub atmosphere and no ghastly gastro pub makeover! DIdn't indulge in regular roast for...

A very warm welcome from the landlord and staff, in this pleasant olde world Inn, a blazing fire in the hearth, sheer bliss. A good pint of Guinness and my family had white wine spritzers, the food was excellent, we all had different starters but mine was fresh scallops in garlic and chilli sauce, absolutely fabulous, the others equally as good,this...

After walking on the long sandy beach, fancied lunch and asked the local coast bus driver who recommended the Sun just up the road. Lovely village and friendly pub, allowed us to eat in the front bar as it as a little chilly and we had our dog with us (Irish terrier) had mussels and jacket potato, good value for...

Was recommended the Sun Inn by the owners of the bed & breakast I was staying at near Aberdaron, it proved a good choice. I had a nice pint of cask ale along with a chicken curry served by a very pleasant young man. The meal was excellent but what amazed me most was the sheer variety of choice between...

If you want to have a quiet meal a couple of minutes drive from Abersoch try the Sun Inn. We have been many times over the years and now have returned with our little dog. There is an outside garden area where you can sit with dogs which is very pleasant. The food is lovely simple pub food and the...

We called in on the way back from Hell's Mouth beech. Two adults and five children were fed and watered in great style. The service was swift and friendly. The menu was varied and interesting and all the dishes pleased the recipient. The moules and the seafood mornay were the highlights. My cherry crumble was delic but huge quantities of...

A rainy night in Abersoch, but we took the chance and ventured to the Sun. Were told on arrival that we were a bit too late for a table as they were very busy. We were having a quick drink at the bar as the landlord passed through told us he could sort a table in a short while. Long...

We visited last year and really enjoyed the food even though the landlord and landlady were less than friendly and we were asked to leave the table as soon as sweets were finished, That said we decided to give it another go this year as the food had been so good. What a mistake! The landlord was slightly more welcoming,...

Food okay but nothing special. Bar service seemed to be very friendly to the Welsh locals but could not care less attitude to all those who had an English one! Felt rushed and no real welcome so we did not enjoy our evening that we had really looked forward to. Left as had nowhere to sit as soon as we...
