We had a wonderful experience at The Breakers Resort Inn. The staff is very friendly, we had beautiful views from our oceanfront room. The room was very quiet and clean.Very family friendly resort we absolutely loved it here!!
I rarely ever write reviews but when asked I feel I should say the reviews on this place are not accurate at all. I was skeptical but ended up booking because the reviews I read we’re pretty good. The hotel is very old and hasn’t been updated in years! I took pictures to show some of the age of the room. Furniture looks to be 30 years old and so does the carpets and trimmings. It looks like it’s still in the 70s! Our room was not clean and my first thought was that it probably had bugs. The whole hotel reeked of smoke and marijuana even though it’s supposed to be non smoking. Even the sheets on the bed were so worn they had knots on them from so much use. There also appeared to be blood splatters on the wall in the living room area. We were there with our children and the area around the hotel was also rundown and seemed unsafe. Lots of drinking, partying, etc in the evening hours. So it’s definitely not a good place if you have kids! The price is also high for the quality of what your getting. We checked in and ended up leaving a few hours later. We were completely uncomfortable. They did refund me one of my nights which I appreciated which is my only good thought. If your looking for a clean, nice, updated hotel that’s beachfront this one unfortunately is not it. If they were to remodel down the road I’m sure it would help tremendously but until then it’s not a good choice.…
Hotel was great for a 3 night weekend trip. Wasn't fancy, and could definitely use some updates but all the rooms are oceanfront, and it was very clean which is all I was really looking for! Beds, and pillows were comfortable, and Jacuzzi bath tub was worth the upgrade! Will defiantly stay again. Location was amazing right next to the Pier... only issue we had was parking was very tight the first night we got there. After that although the parking is a small area we didn't have much trouble getting into a spot.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It’s not too bad, could be better and could be worse. I’ll go through the cons first and then end with the pros. The bedding and linens are dingy and don’t feel very clean or soft. The shower head, blow dryer and bathroom light fixtures are really old. Tub didn’t drain the best. No conditioner. Elevator was slow. Now for the good parts: The price is reasonable. The jacuzzi bath tub is amazing!!! The bed is comfortable. Air conditioner works very well. Pillows are so so. Awesome private deck if you get the right room. The room was extremely clean! Great job to the house keeping staff. All in all the room wasn’t really my cup of tea but the jacuzzi and cleanliness of the room were very enjoyable and it’s hard to find rooms with a private jacuzzi.…
Staff was very rude and seemed inconvenienced by us asking for anything. No hot water for both days we stayed. Toilet leaked. No room service came to our room both days we were there. Would never recommend anyone to stay
When looking for a room, an oceanfront room, the reviews for this hotel had raves about the included breakfast at the oceanfront cafe. It sounded great.....until we got checked in. The desk clerk said the cafe is closed tomorrow. I said no breakfast? He said no breakfast. No apology, no explanation, no vouchers for breakfast somewhere else. No breakfast. I am 65 and recently had a hip replacement surgery. My sister is 62 and walks with a pronounced limp from a stroke. When were leaving with our luggage, we approached the elevator to find a note saying the elevator is broken, repairman has been called. No offer of assistance on the note. No call to the room offering help. So we struggled down 4 flights of stairs, emerge in the basement and then have to carry our luggage up the ramp to get to the car. Very disappointing stay. We will not be back.…
Beautiful view, great bike path and free bikes Room was missing a few light bulbs and hair conditioner is not provided but hand lotion is in a bottle that matches shampoo so I put a ton of lotion in my hair and had to use all the shampoo to get it out (easy fix guys, provide conditioner and change lotion to another bottlle) No a/c in hallway, slow elevator, could hear babies screaming from their room.
I have to admit when I first walked in, the lobby was the smallest I have ever seen, and it seemed a bit out dated, but as soon as I talked with the people at the desk, I knew I picked the right place. Super friendly staff. I even chatted with the owners who were really nice. I peeked in at the outside pool and noticed it was pretty small, but for me and my daughter it wasn't a problem because we just never swim in public pools. There is only one elevator but it worked just fine. I liked the windows in the hallways that over looked the strip. Kind of neat. It seemed that there was no air conditioning in the hallways because they were warm, but who stays in the hallways long anyways. So when we opened our room door, we were SO impressed with it! The room was clean and neat and all ready for us! There was even a printed out welcome letter personally addressed to me and signed by the owner! The bathroom was very clean. I really liked the little kitchenette area. The beds and 4 pillows PER BED! were super comfy!! and the best thing was THE VIEW from the huge window and balcony. We will definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again sometimes!! Oh and they have free bike rentals too!…
Spent 5 days at the Breakers, Great property and a wonderful staff . Perfect location and a wonderful view from the balcony. We did have breakfast in the cafe it was very good. I will absolutely return to the Breakers !!!
Recently stayed for 3 nights on the 5th floor. Room was nice, nothing fancy but was a great deal for having an oceanfront balcony room. Views were beautiful. Check in was fine but for some reason, our room cards deactivated every day. Not a problem, was fixed each time in a few minutes. It was also a plus to have on-site parking, always felt safe. Everyone seems to be abiding by the covid rules so that was good to see. We didn't eat at the café so I can't comment on that but I am including a picture of the menu. We will definitely stay here again.
