We wanted to celebrate our anniversary at the beach. We had a beach front view. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and the wall paper was peeling. The hostess at the beach side bar was struggling. We felt very sorry for her and she appeared “to be very you and inexperienced “.

The rooms are small; but was convient for what we needed. The bathrooms are extremely small. I'm glad our room was on the second floor, because the elevators was being repaired during our visit; therefore there was long waits for the elevators.

I have traveled to Virginia Beach often for vacations and to visit family. Unfortunately, this trip was for a funeral of a family member. I called to book the room and was asked if I was a rewards member. I said yes I have a rewards with IHG. I needed two queen rooms for a two night stay, for a total of four people. The representative quoted me $90 per night/per room. In my mind that totals $360 plus taxes and fees. So over the phone I agreed to the booking thinking this was a good price. After the confirmation I said okay and was then transferred to another representative that began to make me an offer for a reduced week stay at various vacation resorts, I politely listened to her sales pitch then advised that I was grieving and not in the mindset to think about vacation nor ready to purchase a vacation week for $199.00. She was very persistent and non caring to my personal state of mind or situation so I greeted her a good day and hung up. I assumed that I was set up to stay at the Hotel with the quoted rate which was clearly stated and re-confirmed throughout the phone call. Upon arrival the front desk was friendly. The room was a dated yet clean. the bed and linens were very comfortable. The bathroom floor was dirty. the grout was brown from improper cleaning. The tub was rusted as well as the door frame. The toilet seat was broken causing my 90 yr old mother to almost fall. The hotel did come and replace the toilet seat once I informed them and they did offer a credit for the trouble. Only one elevator was working during our stay. So now it time to check out and settle the billing. When I received my billing I find that we are being charged more than double what was quoted. I was very upset and all they could say is I signed for it upon arrival when I accepted the room. I was very emotional from just attending a funeral and not in the arguing mood. So, I left and tried to follow up with IHG by asking for a review of the phone call. As you can guess that never happened. A review will CLEARLY show what was quoted as the price. $90.00per night per room not the $208 per night per room. I was charged a total of $836.00. So I'm now stuck with it but, you don't have to have this experience. DO NOT STAY THERE. DO NOT BOOK WITH IHG. DO NOT TRUST YOUR PHONE QUOTES and if you do MAKE SURE YOU VERIFY IN WRITING/READ YOUR EMAIL AFTER THE CALL TO ENSURE YOU ARE GETTING WHAT YOU DISCUSSED. This is the expensive lesson I've learned. Please learn from my terrible mistake. I will at every opportunity share the horrible experience with all that cross my path.

Was online looking for a place to stay on the beach but everyone was booked up. Decided to stay here even though it was a few miles away. It was nicely set up a little dated but every clean. It had a nice bar and restaurant that was very enticing for someone trying to cut back in food and drinks.

The hotel itself was nice, loved the indoor pool. Only one of two elevators worked and there was a very misleading menu in the room, the items listed and the low prices were nothing like what we actually paid. The room itself was clean and large, however only yards from the interstate.
