On a weekend to explore the Middle Peninsula & Northern Neck, we chose Atherston Hall for our B&B... and we are looking forward to returning as it was the BEST B&B we've stayed in over our 26 years of marriage! Judith & Bill are delightful people with a commitment to excellence and personal service. The house is immaculate, the Somerset... More

Stayed there on Saturday and it was just as fabulous as our first stay in 2011. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and the house is picturesque. The breakfasts are wonderful! I highly recommend this B&B! Urbanna is a great little town and the perfect base for exploring Northern Neck and Williamsburg.

We had a short visit to Urbanna but Judith made it a memorable one. The room was charming. The B&B included a charming English garden that her husband Bill had landscaped. So inviting. Breakfast could not have been tastier with a fritata and fresh fruit. I look forward to another visit in the near future.

After a week in OBX we had 1 more night before a flight out of Norfolk the next day. Urbanna is about a 90 minute drive from ORF. We were greeting while pulling into the drive. It was very welcoming. We rec'd a brief tour of the house and asked what time we wanted breakfast. One thing I'll highlight is... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Atherston Hall. We were disappointed to see your observation regarding the bed in Devon as our beds are either Stearns & Foster or Serta and I do not think we have ever received a negative comment before but we will check the bed thoroughly and ask future guests their... Our New Virginian's tea group enjoyed a wonderful tea. We were served several sandwiches, scones and desserts along with tea. Everything was delicious and the portions were very generous. Judith was very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the visit by your group for Afternoon tea. We do not normally cater to groups of 20 but will do so in the future as it was fun and successful! We do hope you will come back and see us again. More

I enjoyed a stay at Atherston Hall on a business trip. The hosts were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and I slept better than I do in my own bed. I would definitely and highly recommend this charming B&B.

My daughter and I spend an evening at this charming B&B as we traveled to attend a function at Christchurch School. Judith & Bill welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the spacious and well appointed Somerset room. The guest sitting room was perfect to enjoy an episode of Downton Abbey. Breakfast was delicious... More

Judith and Bill bring professional hospitality backgrounds to their beautiful B&B. Nice choice of warmly appointed rooms, spotless bathrooms, everything works. Perfect in town location, walk to everything including nice selection of restaurants. Breakfast of home made granola, fresh fruit, real coffee, scrumptious eggs. Wonderful visit, I'll find a way to return.

Our suite was comfortable, immaculate and spacious. Breakfast was outstanding and very English! The house is lovely, as are the gardens, and Judith and Bill were excellent, experienced innkeepers. They exhibited attention to their guests to ensure their stay was memorable. We really enjoyed Savana and Rosie!

We made last minute reservations for two rooms and were fortunate that they had had some cancellations. The rooms are beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished. The toiletry's were a treat! The sitting room was comfortable and had games and reading materials. The garden was lovely. The location allows a nice walk to both shops on Main Street and the town... More
