Stayed here for one night due to my company booking my hotels. Upon arrival I can see I’m staying at a motel.
As always I check for bed bugs before I unload any of my things. Coast is clear. My only issues is the smell of the room, and the fact that the mini fridge door was open upon entering. Just weirdness that didn’t make sense. The toilet would take forever to flush if it even would flush. They didn’t have all the channels most hotels have, so I of course didn’t watch any tv.
Also, I overslept my alarm and literally 11 am on the dot, I get banging on the door from housekeeping. They don’t even wait for a response before barging in. Just rudeness. So therefore, my rating reflects their actions. I’m appreciative of the clean room and no bed bugs but y’all need to teach your employees some manners. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I recently returned to this place and my previous review still holds true. Look under Oct. 7 2020. TA will not let me post a link on this review. Still an older hotel that is a great value.

Just updating on the breakfast. It is no longer a grab and go breakfast. It is a sit down breakfast. While not something to write about back home, it is decent enough to fill you up to start the day.

I would like to contrast this breakfast with the nearby Hawthorne Suites. They also have breakfast back but it is so simple that even I would skip it. The breakfast here is definitely much much better.

Incidentally, I found there is a Korean restaurant to the left (facing the hotel) of the hotel. Cross the parking lot and it's there. Maybe 4-5 minutes walk. Tops.

Still a very good budget hotel. If you are expecting much more, then don't. You are not charged that much either.

BTW, service is still very good. My coffee maker in the room leaked. While this will elicit crazy reviews, I elect to see what the hotel will do. I reported it. Within a few minutes someone came with a brand new one still in its plastic wrapper.

We stayed because it was very close to where we were having some dental done. The hotel was priced fairly, meaning if you want 5 stars then this would not be it ( rent a 300 a night unit) The employees were nice, the parking is right there and is lighted. The hotel is right in Tysons Corner. Next time we are back down to see Dr Golpa - G4 we will stay here again.

Everyone I met was kind to me. Sausage and eggs for breakfast! Comfortable bed, fluffy pillows. I felt safe to soak in the bathtub, which was much appreciated after a long walking day in DC. Many hotels have cracks and such in tub, this was a nice vinyl. A good 10 minute walk to the metro platform, looks farther than it is. Never felt uncomfortable on the journey because the hotel is surrounded by high end car sales and some corporate office building. So, no one hanging about. Short trip to walmart for supplies, with free parking. Yep, its a little older, etc. The recliner, yes recliner, was kind of discolored, but I don't care how great a fabric chair looks in a hotel. I always lay towels over them. It could look clean, but be worse than some discoloration. Bring your usb adapters, as you always do, right? I am so grateful they are there. I can not afford most hotels, and this hotel was fabulous for the price range. I will be staying here again.

Room 1011
Hotel had only one luggage cart for whole location. Waited over an hour for cart to be available. Later was informed that the luggage cart has been "unable to locate". Was offered a "pantry" cart that was used to move luggage to room. First floor Vending area has "rats nest" of extension cords used to power vending machines.
Positives: Luggage cart episode may have been one-time, otherwise usually good service. Within walking distance of Metro station.

I have many other of the reviews and they are stretching the truth, I came here because it's the best area to be in walking distance to metro, it's very reasonable priced and the property is so large, it is so quiet you feel like the only one here. Andrew the manager is very accommodating and is a reasonable person that any problems you would have here he would fix immediately no matter how he had to get it down. There is also front desk Andrew who has the biggest heart and no matter how busy if you need something he doesn't wait for anyone else he will get it himself for you and bring it. This hotel is clean and nice size. There are so many places to walk to and it's in a very safe part of town. I would pick this hotel over any other in the area. Thanks Mr Daniel and Mr Andrew.

We were placed in the outer building far from the office/lobby though there were many empty rooms near by. Had a cat stop our walk up on the stairs and the owner sitting in a car nearby told us the cat lived there?? The room was not only aged, with filthy wall paper beginning to peel but the bathroom was not much better. Bottom line I did not feel safe walking around the area. The front desk was not welcoming. I also found it interesting they never contacted me for a review.

Please don't go here. Ever. I don't usually leave negative reviews but this hotel is not worth any money at all. Pool your money together and get a better hotel nearby. The first room we had was so dated and cringy. Someone's grand-dad's recliner in the middle of the floor amid someone's grandmother's ancient dresser. After getting over the cringy part, we had problems with our air conditioner. It stopped working. The maint man said he has many of these units that break regularly. After a couple of breakdowns, they gave us another room. This room had a desk but no chair. A hole in the wall behind the bed and bugs. The man at the desk seemed unfazed and blankly said he'd report it. The whole hotel needs a big overhaul. And also associates that care that you've put your trust in them for at least a good night's sleep.

Great location. Can walk to many things including Metro.

But it’s a hotel of NO’s.
No hot water.
Staff with NO personality.
NO USB ports in room for devices.
Clean staff with NO patience.
they peaked in the windows to see if
they could clean the room before 9
AM.

I needed three nights and stayed only one. This is an older property that is very very basic. Small cramped rooms. Old noisy air conditioner that did not work well. The shower was small and the water kept scalding then freezing over the course of the shower. I had to get out and back in a dozen times. That was the end for me.

When I stayed at Tyson's corner, I took a cab from DCA (Reagan) to the hotel. I arrived late in the evening and it took about 20-25 minutes. Of course, there was no traffic. On the way back to DCA, I took the train. It was a LOT cheaper and not a hassle at all. It took only a couple more minutes than the cab at 11pm and when I looked down at the highway from the train, there was lots of traffic. A cab would have been a horrible idea. Plus, the train was quite enjoyable and easy to figure out for a first time DC-rider. So, you really should be taking the *time of day* into consideration when you choose your method of travel. Good luck!

It seemed to be in a safe neighborhood. There are a lot of high end car dealerships close by (Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, etc) so I think you would be ok leaving a uhaul. They had plenty of parking for one. The walk to the metro is maybe 4-5 minutes (you can see the hotel from the metro stop).
