Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center is the first new-built, full-service hotel in Tysons Corner to open in more than 20 years. The 18-story, 300-room Hyatt Regency hotel is designed to offer business and leisure travelers an upscale hotel experience, featuring rich design, modern guestrooms and state-of-the-art meeting space – all in the heart of the trendy downtown Tysons Corner. Situated in one of the most dynamic and visited communities is the metro area, Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center is part of Macerich’s breakthrough Tysons Corner Center mixed-use expansion, which includes the award-winning Tysons Tower trophy office building, VITA luxury apartments (expected to open later this year) and new restaurants, all built around The Plaza, an elevated, 1.5 acre public space with its own stop on the Washington Metro Silver Line. The center of this new vertical urban hub is the 2 million-square-foot Tysons Corner Center mall, drawing millions of visitors each year. The expanded Tysons Corner Center is quickly becoming a new downtown hub of Greater Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. The new hotel is in close proximity to the Dulles Technology Corridor, world-class medical care and downtown Washington D.C. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located 15 miles from both Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport.

I always love Hyatt. This location is perfect, there is so much all in one place. No need to worry about weather conditions. Hotel of itself was clean and comfortable. I had a room with a beautiful view. Would definitely stay here again, great for a weekend getaway.

Check in went well but overall it's overpriced, no free parking, no complimentary breakfast. There was a dirty towel left vehind the tv stand and was still there when I left. The view from 17th floor was nice. There's no microwave in the room only on certain floors. The vending machine on my floor didn't work I had to go one floor down. I like the location and the overall feel of this hotel was fine. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I didn't sleep very well. Definitely need some improvements like better pillows, mattress, cleaning crew need ro pay attention to detail since there was a dirty towel left behind.

Rooms are ok but the food and the service are just horrible. I tried to order room service on Saturday at about midnight. First no one picks up the phone, neither from room service nor even from the front desk. After 15’ I finally manage to speak with someone. It turns out that not only the choice is extremely limited but also that the menu in the room actually does not match what is available to order. I finally order a “chicken sandwich”. 8’ later someone knocks at my door with a brown bag and hands it to me. No check to sign etc. Strange... inside the bag I find a plastic box. Inside the box a stale sandwich with the most atrocious filling I ever had. I leave the bag outside my room. Can you believe that the next day at 11:30am the bag was still there?? In the morning I call to order bfast. I am told they dont have any brown bred (neither toast, nor bagel...). Really? In 2019?? So I give up and cancel the entire room service breakfast order altogether. I go downstairs and eat at the restaurant. The food can be qualified as mediocre at best - and of course I find the brown toast that I was all told was not available by the lady over the phone 30’ before. When I check out I’m offered a bill by email only. I insist on seeing a print copy before I go... and of course I find an error. They charged me for breakfast twice. Once for the room service order which never existed and a second time for the dine in service. I have to wait another 25 minutes standing at reception while they correct their error. Also I tell the lady at reception about the horrible night sandwich from room service; she doesn’t even offer compensation or anything she just says “sorry”. Absolutely not worth a four star hotel. The home restaurant food delivery service companies are about to do to such hotels which have no respect for clients what Uber has done to taxis.

Stayed one night as part of a wedding party. Nice, big rooms. Comfortable beds and very good air-conditioning -- in the room. The pillows seemed flat, putting two together barely made it comfortable. Nice big bathroom, great shower. Problem with the bathroom is one of design. The door opens into the room (rather than the entrance corridor) so that if someone goes into the bathroom and turns on the light in the night, the whole room is flooded by light if they've not fully closed the door. And that brings up an additional point. They've this weird lighting system on the floor. If you get up from the bed in the middle of the night and step on the floor, a little lite comes on. I suspect it is a safety feature, but it will wake you up if you're a light sleeper -- so that is a mixed bag. People were very nice. Location is good and connected to the Tyson's mall. Mildly annoyed at the lobby bar/restaurant. It was a very hot day -- mid 90s -- went to the bar for a drink. Bar is being rehabbed. The welcomer told us that we could go outside to the bar and order a drink and bring it back in. I didn't want to go outside at all... seems to me that they should have seated us and gone for our drinks for us. We skipped having a drink... which was, as said, annoying, because that was the only place directly in the hotel. In the end, it was a good, comfortable hotel for the most part, nice people, good price. I would recommend.

Dear DCroamer, Thank you for your review. Your detailed review is appreciated, I am pleased to read that overall your stay was enjoyable. I apologize that your experience in Barrel and Bushel was not ideal, the small remodel will be completed shortly and operations should be back to normal with inside and outside bar fully operational. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to host you again soon. Thanks, Sara S. Marketing Manager
