We were in town shooting for a feature documentary film and Maureen and Jim were fantastic hosts. They made everything from our arrival to our departure run smoothly, always lending a hand or giving advise when needed. The rooms were comfortable and breakfasts were amazing. I hope we can come back again soon! Highly recommend!

The owners are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful and keeps you full for quite a while. The common area outside is a great place to sit and watch the sunset. The rooms are comfortable. There are quite a few places to sit, relax and do nothing, which is what tangier is all about. The owners son picks you... More

We stayed with Jim and Maureen for 2 nights with our 3 kids, in one of the cabins. Jim was on the ferry over with us, and his son met us at the dock to take all of our luggage, which was a lot with 3 kids, to the inn. They were extremely nice and accommodating the entire time. All... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bay View Inn. The locale was ideal, the hosts were gracious, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was hands down the best B&B breakfast to order ever! Amazing options, blueberry pancakes, waffles, eggs any style, omelets, multiple ingredients, multiple cheeses, bacon, sausage, and breads to offer. The kayaks were a major bonus touring the... More

After reading the book "Beautiful Swimmers" in the 1980's I always wanted to visit Tangier island. After finally getting there after all those years we picked a really good B&B (the Bay View) to be a base for our exploring. Were were greeted at the dock by the owner's son who took us to the B&B in a stretch golf... More

We came to catch the Perseid meteor shower and to explore the island. I wanted a place that would be dark and away from lights so I looked at the map and chose the Bay View Inn. The Inn has two decks which provide a great view of the setting sun as well as great unobstructed views of the night... More

I stayed here overnight. The owners and their son are so nice and helpful. David (who is delightful) was waiting for me at the dock and took me to the inn. I was able to check in and get settled in my cottage very quickly. The room was cozy and clean. The bedding was nice and the mattress was pretty... More

I just spent my second weekend getaway on Tangier Island and my second stay at the Bay View Inn. It is clean, comfortable, friendly, and breakfast is made to order and absolutely delicious. My first time here was a work retreat for 10 and we stayed 2 nights. My second trip was with friends. Each time was fantastic. A perfect... More

What made this place awesome to me is the friendly service. Maureen and Jim were friendly and helpful, and just seemed happy to chat with visitors. Jim even went out of the way to pick up peanut butter for my toast. David was also so helpful, picking us up at the port, driving us to lunch, and dropping our luggage... More

We found out about the Bayview Inn on line when we were trying to find a place to stay on Tangier Island. There are several small cottages on the property be hind the main house. We stayed in one of these. It was cozy and clean.
