Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia on 50 acres lies Steeles Tavern Manor & Alpine Hideaway Cottages. We invite you into our 1916-built Virginian manor house located in a location halfway between the historic towns of Lexington and Staunton. The Inn offers five guest rooms and suites with gas or electric fireplaces and private baths with double Jacuzzi tubs. The Inn's decor has a relaxed winery theme with each guest room named for wine varietals native to Virginia. Two cottages are tucked in the woods and one cottage is located on our catch and release fishing pond. All have all the luxuries needed for a romantic vacation: king-sized bed, private outdoor hot tub, living room with gas fireplace, full kitchens, gas grills & more. Roam the grounds to enjoy views of our pond, the rolling stream or our in-ground swimming pool. Relax and enjoy warm hospitality during our complimentary evening social hour with a glass of local wine or beer.

We stayed in the Ivy cottage, and it was wonderful. The cottage is secluded, it sits at the top of a little hill with woods behind it and cows in front. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, outdoor grill, hot tub and amenities. The kitchen is well-appointed and we cooked a nice meal.

Thank you for choosing Steeles Tavern Manor to celebrate retirement!! We really enjoyed having you and your friends stay with us! We had an enjoyable time as well chatting and enjoying a glass of wine at the Social Hours. Giving everyone hugs upon departure did make it feel like family was leaving us. But we know you will be coming back some day! Enjoy your retirement time! Ray and Melissa

If you're looking for a very nice quiet stay to get away from it all... huge 'grandma bed', a warm and nice breakfast served with the best attmosphere...then this is your spot. It was extremely well-kept for a B&B. Usually, B&Bs are not always clean, but this place was
